If they can not afford a shopping cart that can screen coupon codes against merchandise then they should stick to B&M business. Buy all the cheap stuff you want from them. I will stick with reputable companies such as green mountain tactical. I am happy to pay more for products when they come with excellent customer service.

They decide which coupon codes are applicable AFTER the order is placed and do not notify the purchaser until AFTER they release the inventory back to stock. They are not concerned about their customer service, only about their sales volume and profits. That strategy may be very effective for them and fine with some customers. I am not one of those customers.

FWIW, I've never heard of Green Mountain Tactical...maybe I'll have to check them out. I usually stick with Galls & LAPG.

Heh - I guess being the first one to have posted the coupon code (and thus having caused all this ruckus), I should have noticed the red warning...

I was also a little ticked when I received zero email replies, and then saw their less-than-friendly response here. But I did get a voicemail today from their sales dept explaining the situation and asking if I wanted to re-submit the order. And I think I will -- it's still a good deal.

FWIW, I don't think that we should judge them too harshly if their ordering system allowed the coupons, or that their initial response was a little disorganized. These firms operate at a heck of a lot slimmer margin then, say, Best Buy, and deserve a little slack.

I received my order. I used the coupon too. The boots are pretty much flawless and seem to be high quality. Cant find any blemishes on them even though I only took a few minutes to examine. I got the exact sizes I ordered as well (11.5R, 13R, 13W). An awesome deal as far as I am concerned. I'd shop LA Police Gear again.

Pats2005 which code did you use and do these boots fit true to size? I wear a size 11 1/2 or 12 shoe normally but they only have 11 1/2 (or at least they did a few days ago, maybe now it;s a moot point). Do the boots fit true to size or could I get away with a 13?

Got my boots and they look and feel great, although who knows really until they get broken in. I ordered a size 13 and they're slightly larger than my size 13 shoes. I ordered before the free shipping code was posted but I did use "military" successfully for 10% off. They seem like amazing boots for the money, but I probably wouldn't have ordered if all the shit had hit the fan first. It's not the customers' fault if codes work when they're not supposed to, so no need to be dick about it before at least explaining the situation reasonably first.
