This was and is not an issue pushed by republicans. This whole "people should use whatever bathroom or locker room or changing room they want!" issue comes from the left, pushing it down the throat of everyone around the country with federal mandates. What you're seeing now is certain states reacting to that push from the left. Accusing the republicans of pushing identity politics when they are simply reacting to mandates forcing them to adopt the policies of the left is hypocritical.

That argument really doesn't work though considering that it was republicans that wanted to make laws forbidding transgenders to use the bathroom of their identity because .... it had been a problem that no one noticed but fundie retards that don't really give a shit but need to have some group to oppress and they lost the gay marriage and discrimination of gays in public establishment stuff.

In the more civilized parts of the our state, no one gives a crap. In fact I've witnessed multiple times here in San Antonio an ignorant degenerate try to make a spectacle of a transgender person, insulting, berating them on being a sub human not fit to be near their children. Each time this has happened multiple people have come to the aide of the transgender person and the raving degenerate was eventually removed from the business for harassing customers and spouting ignorance. Most times this resulted in applause by everyone present, with many apologies going towards the transgender person. This reaction is probably the same in San Antonio, Austin, most parts of Dallas, and Houston

I don't doubt this is a huge issue in west and north Texas where people there still call people of color "boy" and think the world is battling against Christianity. These places are becoming less common though which is always a good thing.

Uh, no. The "gop suddenly starts putting policies in place" is a load of crap. The GOP started putting laws in place to address the problem of people forcing their views onto the rest of the community, demanding that they be allowed to go into changing rooms, bathrooms or other facilities based on how they perceive themselves rather than on reality.

Why the worry about a boy on hormone depressors sharing a changing room molesting your daughter when you know 90% of those perps are usually family members including "dear ol'dad".
