Bathtub Made out of Tile??

I don't think I'd buy a house with a tile bathtub, unless it was cheap enough for me to budget ripping it out and putting in a proper tub.

Just because it takes a lot of work & even if it skilled workmanship does not mean it is any good. If you want good you need to check out a place in your area (where ever that is) like this ... it is not your daddy's hardware store. It is where you go when money is no object and you do get what you pay for.

Looks nice, but that's just the outside. The inside isn't tile, which is what they want to do with our bathroom.

I think I'm going to try to push to get them to put in a pre-made one and see what we can do.

What curves? Are you talking about the tile has rounded edges where the tub is? Otherwise I think everything is at 90 degree angles.

It shouldn't be that hard. Designing is not all that difficult. Consider it like a tree. Determine a couple of primary things first then branch out from there. The first two consideration are:

1) Basic style

2) The color scheme

For style, what do you prefer? Modern, traditional, country, European, Asian, eclectic, ect.

Pick a major theme then determine your color scheme. After that, decide if you want a dual vanity sink, single vanity sink, corner sink vanity, pedestal sinks, etc.

Your biggest decision is what you're going to do with the tub area. Do you actually take a full bath very often? If you're more of a shower person you might want to consider the various shower options first. Have you considered a glassed-in shower where there are multi-zone shower heads? imo, that kind of setup blows a tub completely away, even jacuzzi tubs.
