PC is always next gen. hail master race.

It's the only "next gen", calling the Xbone or PS4 "next gen" is a total joke, consoles are for budget gaming. You can match the power of them consoles with a $150 video card, or get 8-10x more GPU power in a high end PC.

As for Arkham Knight, well I loved AA and AC, thought they were highly enjoyable games, even more so in 3D vision, if there ever was a game made for 3D it's Batman. I completed both those games 100% and considering the sheer volume of side missions and secrets that's saying something.

The 3rd game was disappointing, I didn't get more than a few hours into it before uninstalling, it was like a cheap knock off brand of Batman. Not surprising, truly good games passed from the original studio to another basically tend to fail like this.

Rocksteady are back in the driving seat and I look forward to the raging rock solid hard on that Arkham Knight is going to give me, the trailer is brilliant.

Why does everyone hate Arkham Origins? I'm enjoying it to be honest. I got it free with my new card.

If you mess about in the City and on side missions it's a bit crap, but the main plot I am enjoying. I wont ruin the game for anyone, but the overall plot with Black Mask and the assassins and how it unfolds, I'm very interested to see where it goes.

OK, it's not as good as AC, but I wouldn't say it was bad? Maybe consider it like AC addon pack as opposed to a new game perhaps.

That being said, I played AC on PS3 when it came out. So AO on full wack on the PC, maybe i'm just giving it better marks for how good it looks.

Origins doesn't add much to the gameplay, and half the city is even copied from City. It's almost like playing the same game, but an expansion instead of a sequel.

I think people that played Asylum and City religiously like me (3 bats on everything for the PC and 360), are simply tired of the formula. The fighting just doesn't have the same draw after a few thousand fights.

I played all of the games, arkham asylum on ps3, arkham city on pc and the other one too on pc. I liked them all story wise and yea the combat can get repetitive especially the take out this whole room of bad guys silently parts. Other than that I enjoyed the games a lot and will be looking forward to it on pc or ps4, which ever one I may want to get it for.

AO looks very similar to AC on the PC, so I think most people just didn't like AO because it wasn't really an upgrade. I liked AO too (just finished it yesterday actually, and I don't finish games often) but I can't deny that it's lacking the step forward the other had. It has a very similar feel to when the Assassin's Creed series started churning out lackluster sequels (Brotherhood and Revelations)

Now that I know the new game is taking over after AC it seems pretty obvious that AO is on it's own. It's even more apparent when listening to the dev videos talking about AK... they keep referring to the "end of the trilogy". So even the creators of the series pretty much ignore AO since they didn't develop it. It's nothing more than a stop-gap so we weren't without Batman for too long before they could finish AK.

Aren't all these Batman games the same? Fly around the city, do a main (or side) mission, play with some nifty gadgets, watch a few cut scenes, rinse and repeat?

I mean, how many times can one keep playing this over and over??

ftfy

RTS games are all about replaying over and over again. If the game is well made the game play can last years, even decades.

I personally don't enjoy playing these Batman games. I think they're very cool, I'll watch my bro go through the story, but when I try it I just get bored of it.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong I believe one area where Arkham Origins improved on was the DX11 renderer. I hear performance is more stable than Arkham City.

With that kind of thought process you might as well quit playing games altogether.

Huh? There are plenty of games out there that don't require repetitive actions ad nauseam.

The Batman games are NOT one of those games.

Apparently you and I have different opinions about what's a repetitive action in a game.

At risk of feeding the troll and turning this thread into garbage, what do you consider a non-repetitive series?

You describe every game that way. Your argument is against gaming, not necessarily against Batman.
