Saw this today ... what a steaming pile of crap! Should have listened to the reviews, thank goodness it was the $6 bargain showing!

Don't get me wrong there were a few good scenes, but overall as a movie it was terrible.

If you have not gone yet I strongly suggest doing something more exciting ... like sleeping!

I just remember something really stupid and silly about the movie. Remember at the beginning of the movie when the two cops went into the house to find the caged up girls? Batman was actually hiding in the corner of the ceiling, hoping no one will find him. lol. I don't know if he was spreading his legs to cling to the walls. this scene was stupidly hilarious.

Ya. And he flew/moved around stupid fast (too fast for mortals) up the roof hole as if he were a ghost. LOL!

....Also the scene where Doomsday fell from space landing perfectly square near the area where the nuke blasted him. You'd think in space, the blast would propel you away anywhere near the region where they were fighting.

In addition, when the army announced that Doomsday landed on Angel Island(?)...."uninhabited". Uninhabited?! NYC area? Plus there was tons of buildings there. LMAO.
.
.
Also, as someone else mentioned. Batman had a change of heart upon hearing the name "Martha". Joker mention Martha next time they fight. Seems to be the key world to have Batman leave you the fuck alone.
.
.
Best part of the movie was seeing Wonder Woman look all hot with her glowing shield and bracelet deflectors. $11 movie price....for this...which I saw in the previews for the most part already.

I attributed this to him using his grapple somewhere taking him out of the room quickly. I believe this shot was done in order to establish him as a shadow in the night, the batman. Not the batman we deserve, but the batman we need.

In his defense this Batman has only been doing his thing for a couple of years. At least that's kinda what they movie leads you to believe, what with him screaming "Dad" when Superman and Zod destroy the building he's in. He hasn't had the time to become super ninja guy that Batman normally is.

Can we talk about that now? WTF was that? When that happened I was like...what? Who is that? (also, can't tell if joking, but the movie was him as old 20 year into it Batman, not 18 month Batman).

I was completely confused. They made it look like only his mother died in the alley. It made no sense and they didn't flesh it out (which is really odd considering all the other things they spent time on). I wasn't sure if we were supposed to believe that his father was around as he was Batman (which makes no sense as he only was able to do the training because he had no parents) or if he started after his father died, which makes even less sense. There's no way he'd be Batman after only a few months.. it's even less sense as I'm supposed to believe this is like the Dark Knight returns so Batman retired and came out of it..

Short answer.. you're not the only one going "WTF" when that happened

Wait, I heard "dad" in that scene, but I assumed I misheard and he was saying the guy's name. Who was that? Was that his dad? His stepdad? Didn't his fathers grave have some time in the 1900's in it?

They needed at least one standalone batman movie before this. Batflek could be amazing. That scene where he was hiding I assumed he wanted to be found, and then grappled out. Very batman of him.

I also heard "Dad" muddled out in the loud destruction scene, but since his dad at the theater didn't look anything like the man on the phone in the building, I assumed it must be "Dan", a buddy of his.

Yeah, I thought he was saying Dad too
but that made no sense because it was a different actor, so I assumed it was Dave or Dan or something. It would be funny though if the dream of the parents death was in an alternate universe and that actually was his dad in the collapsed building. Maybe thats why The Flash is traveling the multiverse or back in time or whatever.

I'm 90% positive I heard "Dad", and he was screaming it a lot. I assumed (as much as I could being completely confused on wtf was going on as the dad should have died with the mother in Crime Alley) that "Dad" in the building was his father only aged as the Crime Alley scene was many years ago. Either way, it rates up there with "Martha" fixing years of hatred in one moment.

His father was shown on the ground after being shot and I cannot imagine that they would change the Batman origin to have one parent survive.

I guess I'm one of the few, but I actually liked it. It wasn't great, but it not as terrible as critics are making it out to be. Better than Star Wars.

That got me too. It was probably Dan but I thought I heard Zack after listening to it more carefully after deciding "Dad" didn't make a lot of sense.

why did they choose a name like Bob, Ed, Ted, or Kevin that sounded a lot less like Dad than Dan....

Oh yeah, another version of Sad Affleck

because the editing as as annoying as the singer of the song in that one if not more so....
