battlefield 1 fps drop

i have i5 2500 asus gtx770 i just strated playing battlefield 1 but at low settings fps is still dropping what to do

If you're sure you've got everything set to low, I'd say your gpu needs an update. Not sure you cpu would be an issue, but may be a small part. I would think the gpu is mostly the problem. What resolution are you playing at? try dropping it as a test.

launch and leave task manager open while you run the game for a few minutes as is, then drop the resolution and see how the cpu usage changes. how close are you to 100% usage during both tests. what percentage difference does there seem to be?

single player works fine in ultra at 1080p but multiplayer has problems

ah, I've read that could actually be cpu, but i'm not really sure. check the task manager after some multiplayer time. if it's pegged at 90+ %, i'd think it would be mostly your cpu.

Battlefield 1 is known for being CPU intensive in multiplayer. Also you might be running into VRAM limitations if you have 2GB.

This shows you its a cpu limitation. Happens for a 2500k non oc all the time in mp64.
Its not about vram on your gpu. At low setting 2GB is fine.
That said your gpu is getting old and slow too. Might save up for a new computer for the next bf series
Get a 6c core cpu then. Gladly a 6c 12 thread cpu if bf is the most played game. Takes tons of cpu power and gives you far better min fps. I would guess a 2600 amd with stock cooler is the cheapest way to handle future bf games as that cpu have plenty throughput. Bf uses more and more threads for each generation and it suits a 2600 cpu.
