Looks dead to me when there use to be 60,000 + people playing it before on the PC. Playstation 4 still looks healthy though.

That's just the standard drop for most battlefield games. BF4 still has roughly 18k people playing it. That is the level to expect for BF1 as well. There's always been a large drop off after release that levels off over time. Agree though that ps4 has a far more healthy population though. If you were looking to purchase the game today I really wouldn't worry about not finding people to play with on either platform and just go with the control scheme you prefer.

This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. When the newest game hits the market, the numbers will always be high and slowly taper off, especially for CoD/BF games.

What has (previously) surprised me is that I find FPSs much easier to play on the PC vice on a console because I have (over the years) gotten used to using a keyboard and mouse. I (unfortunately) have never been able to get used to a PSX controller. Last console FPS that I played at any length was BF 1943. It was a hoot to play even though I sucked bad because of my aversion to using the controller. With the KB/mouse being so much easier to use (in my case) I would think the numbers would be reversed (PC would retain more than the consoles).

I stopped playing it pretty quickly. I just was not enjoying it the same way i enjoyed the previous versions. I also feel like battlefield has stagnated. There is nothing new and fun about a new version. its just the same game with a new settings and better graphics. the game modes are exactly the same and it just have started to get tired of it.

I dropped it for a few months as other games came out but I'm starting back up again. I think it's the best BF games since BF2.

They need to bring back something like 2142 - with the better graphics ,etc. those titan ship games would be a blast.

I stopped playing it a few weeks after release but it was more due to me not being a big gamer these days and having other games and things to occupy my time. I do think it's the best Battlefield since BF2, though. I've thought about starting up again but I got Steel Division recently so that's been taking my game time (which, again, is pretty limited anyway).

Game itself is great, the issues are the pathetic server browser, and the lack of any meaningful control of rented servers. They are shooting themselves in the foot big time.

I've played BF games for years and loved them but BF1 is getting old to me fast. Not enough populated servers already and snipers are totally overpowered for TDM maps, probably totally overpowered all around. Medic is severely undergunned and it shows. I may have to purchase only my second COD game ever to hold me over until the next BF comes out and hopefully gets better again.

I still play it very often, it's my go to. I probably get about 6 hours a week. I only play conquest though, and is pretty full most of the time. Tried to play Tsar maps only a few days ago, was pretty empty. I havent tried to play any of the other maps (base) in a very long time. New maps are always full, even if two of the four really suck ass. The two sea maps fucking suck. New BF supposed to be out in Oct, so they say.

Not at the moment, It is still active but personally, I didn't like BF1 and went back to BF4 much into modern day weapons.

The cycle on BF is too fast these days. The DLC will just be out and then the new game is out. I burned out on BF4 so fast since it just felt like a continuation of BF3.

In the same timeframe with BF4, there were easily 40-50K on PC. BF3 had similar population. But at least BF1 is doing better than Hardline did (Hardline dropped to 1-2K in similar timeframe).

I have BF1 on PS4, rarely play it, but it gets me into full matches very quickly.

Yeah the new maps look frickin incredible. I've updated BF1 (haven't played it basically in a year) but I haven't played it yet. Bah I dunno, maybe I will one of these days.

I really like the farm one, Its got a nice flow to it. At first I thought the mountain one would be good but there's too much open sight lines, makes more people play sniper. The third one feels like usual BF map.

Figures I missed the 2x XP, lol. Meh, I'm not sure 5x or 10x XP would help me much, LMAO. God I'm horrible.

I've heard some rumors about the next one... World War II (bleh, way overdone), I think the Cold War (could be awesome), and Vietnam too. A Vietnam one could definitely be great I think.
