Does anyone know how long the campaign will be? Even though BF1 is obviously multiplayer centric, I'm only really interested in the campaign..

I'll buy the cheapest license I can get, so I can test Frostbite 3's DX12 capability and see how my 1080 Amp Extreme deals with it.

Yep, I fucking hate jets. Out in the open with any vehicle and you're dead, or just moving from obj to obj. Self healing and not having to stop to get more ammo is idiotic.

This is one of the better aspects about BF1 to me is that air shouldn't be dominate. I don't mind slower gameplay, and am glad to use WWI weapons.

Battlefield 2 had the perfect balance between all the vehicles and infantry. Would love an HD reskin of that game..

Man that looks cool. I'm pretty sure I signed up for Insider access months ago in anticipation of a beta. But I'm not sure; I haven't gotten any communication from them, IIRC. Ah well, only another day until the open beta for everyone anyway.

If I remember from when I played it last, there is an option to hide a lot of the UI elements. I think XP and reward popups are one of them.

Also, possibly very important, the kill feed is defaulted to be turned off. Make sure to enable it when you go into the game if you like having it.

Just a heads up, it looks like DX12 is working in the open beta.

It probably isn't wise to keep DX12 on since the Frostbite DX11 code is definitely more sorted out, but it is nice to see it enabled in the open beta.

Honestly I find Origin fine except for the limited game selection and as I've just discovered the download speed is nothing compared to Steam.

Huh. Well I was certain I signed up for Insider awhile ago but I haven't gotten anything. I just searched my Gmail for "battlefield" and the only result was an email from 2014 welcoming me to the Hardline beta, LOL. Oh well, only another day, and I'll be busy after work tonight anyway.

I'm really looking forward to it even though I know I'm going to get fucking crushed. It sucks because I used to be good at games when I was in high school and around that age. I wasn't at the top spot in Quakeworld games constantly, but I sure as hell wasn't bottom constantly like I am now, lol.

Played for a match, ran fine on my machine for my tastes (averaged about 30-40 fps) I used dx12. Game is very, very fast similar to Star Wars BF. I'm not sure this is going to be a game I buy but this is was only one match.
Even at medium settings it looked very nice, I liked the sand storm. I liked how you could open/close doors simple but a good idea, I liked how you could easily get over walls without stupid bunny hopping.

I was pleased with the 2 matches I played. SLI doesn't work yet, but a single 980ti was getting around 60fps pretty steady on Ultra @ 3440x1440. It went up to 4.5gb Vram usage. I thought it was going to need 8. I'll be in great shape once SLI comes into play. Game itself is very good. Sniping feels good.
Resolution scale was at 50%. That's actually normal right? Its actually 100%, right?
