Battlefield 1 released!

I've loved it but I love Battlefield games so I'm not the best judge. Unfortunately I only got to play yesterday and today and yes when I first got in I was getting murdered but I definitely got much better the more I played. You definitely have to play to learn the maps and how the weapons all work. I think horses are too OP which is funny and I hope they adjust them before release. Graphics are great.

Same here. Generally not really been into the BF games since 1942. I had a lot of fun in the beta though despite frustration early on. Roadkills are the best. Getting run over/sliced by a horse/cav is not fun. Hit boxes on horses are weird. I think a lot of it is just the WW1 setting for me.

I kept getting a memory leak & the game would severely stutter every so often, until it would crash. Running the game in boarderless seems to solve the issue. Hopefully this will not be present in full game.

I occasionally had a memory leak problem too. The game never stuttered but I would get a system warning just before the game would crash, happened about 3 times out of all the games I played.

The beta seemed buggier than the alpha, I have every confidence that DICE will succeed in fully breaking the game before release in Oct.

Sucks, apparently they're closing it down today. Now I gotta wait a dang month until the full game (I got the early adopter version or whatever it's called). FML. I got it so rough.

Anyway I did pretty well last night. Of course getting into a tank once and then the armored train for quite a while didn't hurt. ;-) I think I got to rank 19? Hopefully I can play another couple hours or so tonight if it's still up.

I really think BF1 rewards team players more than any past BF game. I was able to unlock kits and level up much faster when I stuck with my squad and worked the objectives. One gripe I do have is with the bomber and subsequent gunner positions in aircraft. I really wish you'd get a bit more points for all the effort that goes into manning a bomber, especially for the thankless job of sitting in the rear gunner seat. I'd also like to see a scoring system for fighters where you get "guardian" points for staying near a bomber to protect them.

I had this problem, switching to DX12 seemed to fix it for me. There was a thread on the battlefield forum about it, trying to collect dxdiag info for the devs to investigate it, so they are aware at least.

I've seen guys with the highest unlock shotgun. they must play 24/7. It's taking me forever to get warbonds.

FWIW the web loadout site was bugged early on and you could unlock anything. Bypassed all the class rank restrictions. I got that shotgun out of it.

That awesome actually. No more people using planes as taxis. If you spawn in a vehicle there should be a cost.

I'm glad I have pre-ordered it. The Beta was fun. Played well even on my RX480 rig below.

I agree, it really did cut down on people misusing aircraft. The most people could do was spawn in on a gunner seat to drop out, and sometimes they would stick around and gun for a bit.

I played a bit more and I appreciate EA essentially giving a limited time demo. Game is too fast for my tastes, I feel like if I ever stop running around like a spaz I get killed.
Getting in a tank was fun, I think tanks will be like the black hawk with mini guns when BF2 came out. Load it up and capture points

I loved the beta and will be buying this when it's released. Just deciding if I buy it on PS4 to play occasionally with a buddy or on PC. The demo played very smoothly on my mid-level gaming laptop with a GTX 960m.

Yea I could see how it cuts down on the taxy stuff but they might as well just issue a cyanide pill instead of that feeble loadout.

So I used a straight pull bolt sniper rifle the other day and it was ass wrecking murderous. I think I'll be fine with BF1.

It played almost flawlessly on my old system. BF is literally the only game I play. I've also been impressed with the good value as the game is continually updated, checked, and free expansions given in the past - all at one initial price. None of this Apple 'pay as you go' crap.
So I will definitely be getting BF1.
I remember saying this year's ago, that I had not seen a good World War I simulator, and thought that concept had room for a Game. Battlefield is an impressive franchise to take up the challenge. The aerial combat in particular has room to be very intersting if it stays true to the original concepts, although I realize they don't want to alienate casual gamers.
I had mixed feelings about it though, as it's quite a tragic time in history.

It seems there will be massive 64 player Arial maps. That will be a hoot with tail gunners. I hope they have bombing missions, where one side has to escort bombers to some targets and the other side tries to stop them.

I went with the standard using Amazon Prime. It's $51 shipped and in home Oct 21st. Not worth the $30 to play the game a couple days early.
