I bought the supreme edition through local EA. It all seems to be all working well. I have I really old system.
By the way, I was able to get the early release and 10% discount by joining EA Access, buying the game and then immediately canceling EA Access. The effect lasts 1 month. So price was reduced to about $145.

Don't hold your breath. AT hasn't been known for speedy coverage lately.

Wow this game. Gorgeous, never seen a better game and it performs incredibly well. I know my machine is powerful, but for the fidelity, I am only seeing about 70-80% GPU usage for 144fps @ 1440p with all settings turned up.

Only DICE can make a game look incredible and optimize it this well.

Moon, I'm not too sure that SLI is working for me. I'll have to double check when I'm in the game again.

IDK about SLI, don't have it anymore. I think it's working in DX11 though. Benchmarks at gamegpu show scaling on 1080 sli. It's not working in DX12 and I wouldn't use DX12 in the game yet. It stutters for me and performance is worse.

Yea, 18th is for those that pre-order from Origin. Everyone else gets it on Friday.

CD keys has it for $43. Is it legit? It states origin. My friends are getting it for ps4 but I didn't upgrade my PC for nothing so I want it on computer.

I've bought a few games on cdkeys.com, no issues. all were steam games though.

To avoid the early buyers a massive advantage over the masses who came 10 days later. Most people will start the 21st. It would be offputting to a lot of them if a bunch of maxlevel people ran around killing them.

And it isn't even the maxlevel which is the issue. It's the experience that accumulates during 10 days of (half) the maps if playtime was unlimited. A wise move imo.

Yeah there is no commitment or anything like that. You can get EA access, cancel it immediately and still be eligible to play because you have the service for one month already. You also get a 10% discount on the game with EA access, so even with the membership cost for the month you will still come out a little ahead given the prices on the various versions.

I've only been playing about an hour every evening. I'll probably go through all the time over the weekend.

Yea it seems only the deluxe edition through origin gets the release of the 18th. I don't usually play these games for a long time to warrant spending extra for more items.

So that's why I was considering the early access but it seems if I get the standard edition I'll have to wait until the 21st anyways.

I haven't touched a game since playing BF4 a couple years ago and wanted to try this out. It immediately shuts down my PC when I get into the game (like instant power off).. Windows logs show critical thermal event. I have an i5 2400 and a 7870, and things looks pretty dusty in there! I am going to clean out the machine and have another go... but I would say yes, this game is pretty taxing.

Yes but the full game unlocks Oct. 18th (Oct 17th at 11 pm here depending on where you live) and if you still have time left over you get to play the full game with Origin Access!
