You can press shift f1 and then see if you can access the friends list and add someone. What I do is alt tab out and then in the origin client, go to the top taskbar, there should be a search for people menu under the friends section of the chat.I can't believe I have to ask this, but how do you send friend invites in BF1/Origin? I played with a good group of folks last night and would like to add them as friends, but I can't see any way to do that through the in game UI, and the friends tab in origin only shows people that I am currently friends with and won't let me search for other people.
wow, last game i played i spawned and died immediately 6 times in a row, and they were at different spawn locations.
The sniping does get pretty bad, but it's satisfying to beat snipers to death with a bat. I hate the unlock system though. Just give me the damned weapons and let me play the game. This trend of having to level up and unlock stuff is really getting old.You really have to only run at full speed if you want to get to cover fast. Other than that, I always walk everywhere and take my time. This way I notice if an enemy is sneaking around or sometimes I'll end up finding people randomly.

I was really bad at sniping before. But the maps here do allow it in some areas. I'm upset that my assault class was rank 7 and after the patch it went down to 3. I really want to unlock the heilrigger gun. That thing is obscene, I've been killed by it so many times. I too don't like how they did the unlocking this time around. It's the scout class, not sniper. But of course since it has a sniper rifles, people just sit back and snipe. Just killing people isn't that useful. Helping defend and cap flags is what helps. Those that find a good vantage point over a flag and spot/kill/suppress people are being useful, those that are just hanging out at the edge of the map not so much.You really have to only run at full speed if you want to get to cover fast. I've constantly took down enemies while laying far back and watching the capture points. Even saved a few team members from being gunned down by doing this in rush. Problem is most team members weren't going for the capture points. So I'll switch to assault or support and try to run in. Sometimes you just get on a bad team.It's the scout class, not sniper. If you are buying it for single player then I would say it's not a good reason to buy it but who are we kidding, bf games always emphasized online. If you will be playing online a lot, it's totally worth it. Single player is very well done too, I'm really enjoying it. But it's super short. I'm enjoying my time with it. The issues aren't as bad as seen during launch of BF3 and 4. The guns fire slower/hit less hard than the newer games too so the time to kill is long. Yeah, the community is really horrible. Like almost League of Legends bad.
Reminds me of a rush game last night where enemy was planting on objective B and this guy sits at the far end of the map with a tank shooting at nothing. I chatted and shot at the tank, etc. Didn't budge, we lost the objective.To be fair, there are some really dumb players. I can see how some will get jaded and lash out at people that make simple mistakes or just suck.
Last night some bozo was on the AA gun shooting at people on the next point while a bomber flew overhead 2-3 times. I chatted repeatedly to shoot at the bomber to no avail, so I got right up in his face and started shooting him until he got off it. I jumped on the AA and shot down the bomber (I love AA, hardly anyone ever jumps on it because easy to be sniped, but so easy to take out planes).
Or all the medics running around with the revive gadget but not reviving (medic won't show up if they don't have the revive gadget).
Gotta love getting walked over by medics while you just lie there bleeding out. LOL
You can try updating your drivers, it shouldn't make it worse. As for direct x, usually if you are missing it from the PC the game will notify you and most times will download it for you.Should I upgrade my video drivers etc?
