In the green boxes usually the smaller ones.Where the hell do they hide those field manuals in the SP? I can never find all of them and some maps I have gone into every building etc looking for them!
I have noticed this without any doubt. I'm unloading into a guy with a machine gun (admittedly missing a lot though) and he turns and POP I'd dead from a quick burst or couple shots from a pistol. I'm left sitting there thinking wtf is this crap and how do I suck this terribly? I have an idea though. Before drawing any conclusions, I'll work on hitting my target and see what happens from there.
Its usually a reddish box but i meant where do they hide the boxesIn the green boxes usually the smaller ones.

I've found some in the tents that have weapons, there was one in the Italian mission in one of the bunkers too. Other than that they are pretty hard to spot. Its usually a reddish box but i meant where do they hide the boxes
I think I have the storm version of that gun. I tried the telescopic version of the bar and I could not get used to having a closed line of sight around me with a machine gun. The bar is still my first choice so far.I've done 5/6 single-player missions and only found 1 or 2 of those boxes per mission. Easiest ones to find are in the weapons caches. Other ones seem hidden off the beaten path.
Edit: That settles that... The M1909 Bénet Telescopic whatever is the best machine gun. Think it has the best stats, a scope, and its fire rate is reasonably good to not burn through ammo while doing damage. I was wondering why the high leveled people were still using it when the Bar and 100+ round machine guns were available.

I believe next week we will get either a new map or hardcore mode. That should be more interesting, followed by fog of war game mode.
Haven't thought about changing the zoom I'll give that a chance tonite. I also thought about using gas grenades as much as I hate them. They could land me some more kills.Have you tried changing the zoom using the Customization screen? I think I used scoped machine guns for a while and also couldn't get used to the scope zoom cutting off my view. However, I tried hip firing the BAR and other guns with little success when at close/medium ranges.
Forcing myself to use the scope has helped me conserve ammo and actually land shots on target. Before that, I was spraying and hoping for the best -- usually lost.
Also, nade/mortar spamming is the tops, especially when you carry your own ammo resupply. I only roll with gas grenades now because you can carry two, large area of effect, and it lingers -- people do mask up but the damage indicators suggest I usually get 60 damage out of them before they do so. Takes care of the already wounded.
I really like the punch and fire rate of the bar compared to the Benet but both are decent guns to use for support.
I'm honestly pretty glad we didn't. Many games don't even touch WWI and we've already had so many WWII games we don't really need more of them. Plus it's the most fun I've had in a Battlefield game since Bad Company 2.Werent we supposed do get a 1942 redux or something like that?
I swear the Benet also jammed on me a few times. Not sure if it was lag or what but it happened enough times that I couldn't explain what else it would be.The BAR has the highest fire rate (600 rpm?) and the lowest ammo count -- reload is fairly quick being a magazine. I thought it would be great because it'd spit out damage the quickest, especially with the hip-fire focused version... then I found myself constantly running out of ammo and missing.
The machine gun with 100-200 rounds isn't that great because it jams every ~30 rounds if I hold it down and sucks for hip fire. Going to give the Suppression version version another shot later.
Yea I think it's very good. A little too Hollywood toward the ending missions in terms of acting not presentation, but I'm on the last mission section and I enjoyed it. It is different than the approach they took with the previous games. Is Battlefield 1 single player any good? Haven't really tried it yet. Not sure if I ever will.
Yea the forced stealth part was kind of annoying. Though the stories told by them are neat and the levels were pretty cool too to go through.the single player kinda forces stealth parts in pretty much all the missions. while its not terrible, i expected more out of it.
the stories they try to tell in the SP are pretty cool, but the gameplay just seems kind of meh.
There's 6 SP missions and they all seem very short.
I've had guns jam on me also. Is that a real thing or just a glitch? Are they supposed to jam? That would actually be kind of cool to have the character start hitting his gun with his fist trying to clear a jam, then you'd die and that would be funny.
I always mix up the gas mask button, T with R too.I know the one support gun that hold 100 rounds will overheat after about 30 rounds of continuous fire and you have to wait for it to cool down.
I've had time where I went to fire a gun or perform an action and nothing happened though. lately I've been tring to throw a grenade and my character is meleeing, but that might be me not hitting the right key as F and G are right next to each other.
