Has anyone else setup a joystick yet? I had a really hard time, it took forever to get it to register the correct control. I cannot tell if it is the game or my 10+ year old joystick (Wingman Force 3D). The windows calibration utility works fine so it seems like the joystick works OK.
At least I can actually fly a plane now!
need a fix for not being able to spot enemies too. happens all the time to me.
There is now a cooldown to Q spotting. So, if you're spamming it, it won't work most of the time.
This. Seems when in vehicles its worseI swear it hardly works when you're trying to spot 1 thing
nice they added the quit button to quit any time. too bad it doesn't work properly. takes me to what looks to be some kind of loading screen indefinitely.
Distance makes a difference to spotting. If you want to spot thing farther away, you need to bring a scope up to spot. Not sure how far you can spot unaided.This. Seems when in vehicles its worse
I played a few hardcore mode games and I did notice that friendly tags do show up a bit late. I've even got shot by my own teammate twice. Good thing he was a medic so he revived me it seems, because it showed me 0 deaths although I saw myself get killed twice.Spotting is spotty at best even at closer ranges.
I cant believe how screwed up hardcore mode is in this game. It takes way too long for friendly tags to show, and doesnt even tell me when I get a kill. I thought was I missing everyone or losing kills to team mates until I checked the scoreboard. LOL
The slow tag showing is gamebreaking, causing way too many teamkills. No excuse for this nonsense, its not like this is the first game they've ever made. Plus it took them another month to even add HC, there should be no glaring issues like this!
No, there was no kill cam but it always told you when and who you killed in previous BF hardcore games.I played a few hardcore mode games and I did notice that friendly tags do show up a bit late. I was wondering about name tags too not showing after you kill someone. I thought it was supposed to be like that.
I use that all the time on my assault class. It's great to take out a sniper medium distance when prone. I actually use it more on infantry than on vehicles.Went 45-5 last night as a medic on conquest, got about 20 of those kills using an anti vehicle rifle, holy crap that thing is dead on accurate with virtually no bullet drop - I was using it to counter snipe the snipers and two shotting all the planes flying around...nothing sweeter than blowing a plane out of the sky with a single bullet haha.

Hmm how do you unlock that?He may be talking about the Elite Class Tankgewehr (something) rifle. I got it two or three times and haven't figured out how to use it -- haven't figured out its damage radius and bullet drop. So, there isn't any from the sounds of it.

There is another one that spawns at the G flag on Sinai, and one at D flag on Fao Fortress. It's like the flamethrower and Sentry (armored dude with machine gun), I think. It spawns in a box on specific maps and you can pick it up. One place you can find it is at the church of that countryside/town map.
Battlefield games have always been more sensitive to RAM than most other games. With the huge maps and amount of players and other things going on, it makes use of it. I remember in Battlefield 2 having to upgrade my RAM from 512MB to 1GB just to get to running fun.Why does ram speed and having dual channel ram sticks effect minimum fps in Battlefield 1 so much?
I am curious.
I noticed running in dual channel with only 2 sticks of ram it is faster in Battlefield 1 with minimum fps. At least 10 to 15 fps more. Sometimes maybe 20 fps. To me that is a lot.
Also faster ram speed seems to make a difference too a little. Not as much as dual channel though.
Has this been the case with any other game?
BTW this test is with DDR3. I know DDR4 would help even more but that would require a whole new motherboard and I don't want to upgrade my whole system right now.
