Well just add it to the list of reasons to not pre-order the game. It's not like they will run out of digital copies of the game.
Yup, just wait for the open or closed beta to see what it is like.

There was one comment that made me worry bigtime about their being a server browser.
One of the DICE guys said something like 'we're looking to make the transition from server to server seamless and be part of the in-game experience'. Then another comment about how 'you will stay with your squad from server to server'.
Now, the latter comment by itself would be awesome. Be able to join and queue for games as a Squad, have your party leader go find a new server and everyone follows, that would be awesome.
What wouldn't be awesome is the SW: Battlefront server system, and the first comment from the DICE guy seems to indicate that they are going that way....
If thats the case then count me out right now. Im one of the few in here it seems that actually enjoyed SWBF, but that lack of a server browser eventually drove me away.
Why on earth would they not use the awesomeness that is Battlelog???
I haven't tried SWBF but if its like Heroes & Generals' its not that horrible of an idea. Basically you have no choice what server to join you select a character & map(s) the game assigns a server. Ping is almost always fine and a low populated match gets filled up rapidly. You can always join a friends map provided there is space. Squads are set up before the match.
Its not a perfect set up however it does have benefits.
As much as I love the franchise it would likely be its death knell for me if they did away with dedicated servers. It would be a disaster.

Combined arms will be important & battle ships are completely controllable.
**they should call them dreadnoughts for WW1. Cooler sounding
It's a console system and they never bother to make a PC server browser. I hope they are smart enough not to make the same mistake again.
Apparently Engadget can't handle the trailer for BF1

well a DN is different than a BB. They are actual ship classifications.
Agreed. I'm not sure I could handle that. I need to be able to join a server of my choice. What about joining your clan's server? There would be no clans?
Did this guy complain about all the ww2 games or vietnam games, or any other realistic war game? Why is ww1 suddenly taboo?Apparently Engadget can't handle the trailer for BF1

I thought dreadnaughts were essentially battleships during WW1?
Yes but they were sort of separated into their own class.
