This game is great. I've been playing the multiplayer demo for the past few days and its totally awesome. BTW you can get the download at www.ea.com just follow the links to the game. As for bugs, I havent noticed much...at least nothing that affects gameplay. And the game runs great on my 1Ghz Duron system. Good thing the graphics are fully customizeable though. The only gripe I have is that there is no punishement for TKing, so I just try to play on FF OFF servers.

I ordered it from their Yahoo store earlier today (late morning/early afternoon) after we killed their gogamer.com server, I went to see Transporter and now I'm back and my inbox is empty...

Are they gonna take/confirm my order? Hope they didn't drop the ball on this one

Yeah, and I ordered yesterday morning as soon as the deal was up from gogamer.com. I got an order confirmation, but nothing so far as shipping goes. Anyone else out there order yesterday and still no confirmation? I hope they don't drop the ball, too.

yahoo store now shows 24.90 as price, and has ever since i was notified i could go to yahoo store.

i wonder if we can call and get lower price because of downtime

I've never even seen more that 30 seconds of this game, although I would like to.... but after uninstalling and reinstalling 4 times.... no thanks.

I'm not using beta drivers.... I just go with the latest Official ones...

Poor programming here people.... that is why I made the comment I did.

EDIT: One bug I fixed was the "60mhz refresh bug" .....go to your game dir... C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942 Multiplayer Demo\Settings and open
the file VideoDefault.con with wordpad, and edit the last line "renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 0" and change the 0 to a 1

This would only allow 60mhz refresh in this game.... who thought of that one ? I'm now playing at 100mhz or so like the rest of my games. Sheesh....

I too ordered from the yahoo store since their gogamer.com server crumbled like a wet napkin from the AT affect, and it was 'as advertised' - $19.90. HOWEVER, I placed my order mid-day on Friday and I have yet to receive an email confirmation or anything resembling a status update. As for the change in price, that must've happened Friday at some point after I had placed my order.

My account hasn't been charged yet either, and I fear that without proof that I paid for this game at 19.90 they're going to try to stick me with the $24 price. Until something happens I'm gonna hold of on calling them, because as far as I'm concerned I don't even want this game until another patch is released.

Dude, they're a reputable store. I really doubt they are gonna "stick" you with the $24 price. I haven't received any e-mails either but they are probably swamped. I'd wait it out as we got a kickass price on a great game.

I just got my copy via FedEx (the guy came this morning and I missed him so had FedEx retry) and am installing it now. You are right GoGamer is fast!

I ordered mine thursday night and got the confirmation email friday morning, but it wasn't until Friday night that I got the shipped email. Of course it came today, but Fedex is dumb and delivers to a residence at 3 in the afternoon. I am going to have to go up to the Hub and pick it up because I want to play it so bad. My point is be patient they seem to take alittle to get their shipped emails out.

I have noticed a couple of bus atleast in the single player demo, the game won't close on its own and sometimes when you close the spawn point map it leaves a trail, but it goes away when you respawn. This is with an unortodox system that has been peice mealed together over the years because I am poor. Point being I wouldn't worry too much about bugs, everyone has them and some are worse than others, ask microsoft.
