tried the demo on PS3. seems to be better than BF2 and 2142. now those were shitty games.

Crappy animation, really crappy sound. Looks like it plays exactly like BF1942 with fancy graphics. I've already played BF1942 enough so I'll pass.

I think people are mistaken in comparing this to a full-fledged game. It's a $15/1200 MS point arcade game. For what it is it can be loads of fun, but you're going to be disappointed if you go in expecting the quality of a AAA title.

I'm simply tired to play WW2-related games, no more and no less, I've played enough of those, you know, there's a balance to keep sometime, too much of the same thing is like not enough, I just played too many WW2 games (because I like them), but I've had my fill, it's enough for a while, and it's not BF1943 that will make me come back at them, what will make me play them again is when I will have interest in them again, which in turn means that I need to stay away from them to build up the desire.

i never felt bf2 was really based on any war... just doesnt have a era feel to it like other games do. Its just more of a pure gameplay game. Dont play much anymore though.

I'll be buying it the day it comes out. To me, playing BF1942 feels like crap after playing BF2. So I haven't played most of these maps (except Wake) for a long time.

I'm sure I'll get my Money's worth out of it.

I wonder if the console guys will have unlocked the Coral Sea map by the time the PC version comes out, and if it will start out unlocked for the PC guys?

It looks like a fun game to me. I agree about the sound being crappy.

I probably wont get it though. (unless it gets amazing reviews). I too am bored of the same fps' over and over again. Yeah, some gameplay upgrades are nice.. I'm ready for something different though. I don't feel the urge to allow myself to sink into a game like this like it did with BF2.

Just give me a dungeon keeper 3 please.

This is the game I'm looking forward to at the moment, other than BF3 - yes, I appear to be that boring.

I've heard positive things from people at work who've played it on consoles, but I'm happy enough to wait for the proper version. I managed to start with Battlefield 2 so missed out on 1942 the first time around - how young I feel

I've always liked WWII era games, like Call of Duty 2 - the weapons of that era have a satisfying, simple, heavy feel to them, the complete opposite of BF2142 which felt very bland to me. I guess I've not played enough WWII to get sick of it yet.

Looks like they still have the annoying hitboxes from BF1942. If I get it, vehicles will be where I live.

I've always really enjoyed the BF series.. but DICE, or maybe EA owned DICE, seems to on the decline. Or maybe their game style just isn't that popular anymore.

BF1942 was fun the first time I played it.... 5+ years ago. Not wasting any money on a damn reskin.

I have it on the 360, its pretty fun. It's not a full BF game but it's only $15 so it's not supposed to be. If you liked the BF gameplay then it's worth your money.

Also it has some of the best audio I've heard in a game.

Um, its widely regarded as a very good game. By the general population and reviewers. You're in the vast minority.
