On two different computers, I get kicked out of every server I play on after a bit of time due to punkbuster. It doesn't matter what server this is. I'm not the only one who has this problem either, it's wide spread. No idea why it affects some systems and not others but all ones that are affected happen to use Vista.

I had many problems with this. Getting kicked for not having the right pb version. Updating it, by letting it do itself is not going to work. You have to manually track down the files you need, and put them where they need to go. Very annoying.

well I don't know what is going on. Now I am getting kicked out randomly on Win 7 but it had been working fine for the past month. I tried manually updating pb again and it says I am current. The only thing I've change with my system is getting a new mouse the Deathadder and I highly doubt that has anything to do with it. This is pissing me off cause I wanted to play a lot now I have a real gaming mouse.

By changing the mouse acceleration on the fly during the game, you can change the speed at which the turret spins on the APC, for instance. This can give you an unfair advantage.

I think this might be how This parachute trick works, too.

I think this might be how This parachute trick works, too.

Could this be why I am getting kicked out with my new mouse? It has mouse wheel wheel accel enabled in the driver.

I've had problems like that but cured by reinstalling.

I've been playing on vista 64 for nearly year.

2142 is better IMO. the only reason BF2 is more popular is because of people's reluctance to switch to a new version of something that is already good.

2142 is better imo, but its got a major problem of servers crashing frequently unlike BF2. (bf2 vs bf2142 argument is kinda like the xp vs vista)

dice has to be one of the laziest developers out there when it comes to fixing shit. they love taking their sweet time with it, while pouring their resource into a major fail game like BF heroes. of course they have the good fortunes of letting EA be the shield for anything bad they put out but it'd be nice to see them take responsibility for their buggy shit and fix it in a timely manner for once.

as much as i love 2142, i'm so fed up with their inability or unwillingness to address major problems in a timely manner. 2142 is fun as hell when everything is working right, but that's seldom the case. and 3 years into 2142, it's sad that i can't play more than 30 min without servers crashing in the middle of a round.

these new frostbite engine based games better not suffer from these stupid problems.

I played 2142 and it suck donkey compared to BF2. Can't get into futuristic crap and the feel is not right. I like more realism and the jets are too amazing in BF2.
