Dolphin diving makes the hit boxes laggy so they don't match up with the model. This has never been fixed adequately (and this beta is supposedly still addressing the hitbox accuracy if you don't believe me) and *is* an issue to worry about.Originally posted by: GullyFoyle
I was told by a BF2 know-it-all (DCON Mod coder), that back in the day you were invulnerable during the animation shown while proning or standing back up, and that was of course a big problem. It was fixed in a very early patch, but it's legend lives on... Now "dolphin diving" affords you no real advantage, so it is not really an issue to worry about.

Ehh I'll wait until the final version of the patch is released cus we all know with BF2 that even final releases are still Beta.

I reinstalled but only played 1.41. There's so many cheaters now. lol
* UH-60 (Black Hawk) guns had 0.25 splash damage setting, down from 3 making it difficult to hit infantry. - Fixed (this is now set to 1.5 to improve the UH-60's usefulness while not allowing it to dominate)

There's only one guy working on an official patch? That's pretty disgusting, it shows how much EA/Dice care about BF2 and the quality of their support for it. How can just one guy even if he knows what he's doing manage to do it, no wonder why it's taking so long before becoming a final patch. I hope he's being paid proportionally to the indecency of such working conditions.

It's a pretty old game at this point. Are they still selling it in any form? They don't make any money off the ongoing play, other than indirectly by keeping the community active for the next version. I think having even one guy working on it is surprising.
