The last thing we need in BF3 is all of the snot nosed kids who think they are awesome with thier noob cannons.
Make the sniper rifle poweful yes, but hard to use.

As long as its developed in DX11....which sounds like it won't happen, as it will be an upgrade to current BC2 engine (which is basically DX9 with DX11 sprinkle on it)
I don't know why anyone would play Battlefield on anything but a PC.
It's hard to make a game worse when it's already as bad as it can get (multiplayer I mean).

Because it is buckets of fun on the console as well? And if not all of your friends have PCs that can run it, then you only need the one guy with the big TV and PS3 to buy the game, and you can all take turns (which is what my friends and I do).
And then you get them all over at your place, 4 PS3s, 4 1080p monitors, and you all play in a squad and destroy everyone.

There are times that you need to C4 ram. Unfortunately with the ability to repair armor so easy, it all becomes part of the game balance. However, they could possibly extend the blast radius of C4 so that it is impossible to survive a c4 ram, in BF2 right now you can fairly easily bail out in time to survive.
The jets were the absolute worst part about BF2.
I think jets should retain their strength, but the learning curve associated with flying and using them should be jacked up.

if by buckets you mean a thimble then yes..
consoles for shooters blow monkey nuts..(yes almighty halo included) Mouse/keyboard plus a high end gaming PC = bliss
none of my friends are too poor to afford a true gaming PC.. so wouldn't have any idea why you would want to share anyway. most of us have consoles as well but use them for games that are better on the console.. ie sports and driving and fighting..
I never said that it was a superior experience, just that you can still have fun with it. You are getting a little too defensive over this I think. As has been announced, BF3 is being developed for your precious PC first, console second. However, that doesn't mean that the console version isn't going to still be good.
