Battlefield 3: Model issues

I'm getting model isues with certain players in-game. I keep getting artifacts/streaks coming out of them. I even noticed one time on their weapon after they died. When the body disappears, the artifacts/streaks are gone.

I've also received this in league of legends, when everyone used their ultimate at the same time, I would get spinning streaks coming out of the model.

Is it from the beta drivers? I heard that the beta drivers should be great..

also, my bf3 keeps crashing. there was one time where I saw the message: directx error: out of memory or something like that.

Those artifacts are pretty typical of a card going bad. Since you're seeing the same artifacting in more than one game, I would RMA the card for a replacement.

Every card I've had go bad has done what those screenshots show, or started showing lots of small flashing dots all over the screen. I believe one is a symptom of a bad core, the other is bad memory.

You have your card overclocked really high though as well. Try it at stock and it will probably go away, that or raise the voltage you're using for your overclock.

I'm always amazed at people complaining about visual anomalies when heavily overclocked; Stop overclocking or adjust it. Artifacts are a side effect of an unstable overclock.

1000 seems stable though, as I've tested it on heaven and furmark with no problems. shouldnt these cards be reaching 1000 easily?


edit: found that my +20% power limit was back to 0... why does it keep resetting? will post back if I still have issues.

try running stock,still getting those weird lazer looking lines?

well, it only happened once... haven't seen another instance of yet it but I got very scared. the card is fairly new too, I have about 10 days left until i can return it to fry's. if i start getting artifact's i'm probably going to give up and move to the gtx 670 ftw
