Played on a low spec system last night as my system got water damaged and here goes...

x2 555 stock clocked
4gb ddr3
8800gts 512mb

1024x768 low it was in the 35-63 or so range averaging 50 fps and in single player it was pretty smooth.

Forgot to shut off aero if that will make any difference i doubt it.

Someone had to post what the min requirements are capable of doing .

Man...I installed the latest Nvidia drivers yesterday and didn't realize SLI was disabled. I played all day thinking the performance dropped dramatically from the beta!

Anyways, I made a video of frame rate vs graphics settings before I thoroughly read the OP. Its the most graphically challenging spot I could think of

Video

I cant get sucked into playing yet today, but here are approximate numbers:

CPU: i7 950@4Ghz
GPU: 570 SLI
Mobo: Sabertooth x58
Ram: 12GB
Resolution: 1920x1080
Average graphic settings in BF3: Ultra minus motion blur
Antialiasing deferred: 4x
Antialiasing post: HIGH
Motion blur: OFF
Motion blur amount:0
Anisotropic filter:16
Ambient occlusion:HBAO
Average: 70

To be honest, I dont really notice anything other any anti aliasing while playing. I could probably get away with playing on low or med with max AA and be fine.

I'll try this tonight. I played briefly for a few minutes last night at 1920 x 1200 on ultra and was shocked at how well it played on the rig in my sig. Maybe I'm not as picky as you guys, but it looked great and seemed to play well. I intend to experiment more tonight.

I would enjoy the game too with those results! Nice!

Just 35 more min. and the game gets released in Europe. Going to give it a try with my HD 4890. Tomorrow my CFX 6950 2GB arrives
I'll test them both

Can't wait! hehe

Didn't do what the OP wanted but... I'm running everything at Ultra sans Shadows at Low. AA is off for both settings, AF @ 16x, HBAO off.

I'd guess I'm averaging 70. In less busy areas I'm over 110, but it will dip all the way down to 20's and 30's in busy areas. I'll try to get a legit benchmark tonight. The fluctuations are huge - sucks balls. Doesn't look good, but I can see that AA makes a HUGE difference in image quality.

"Upgrading" to a GTX480 and I get it... Friday (WTF UPS - Ordered/Shipped 10/21 w/ 3 day shipping). Hopefully I'll see some improvement. It's going to suck if I barely notice a difference after spending $200.

Hitting F11 to record will create two excel files. One tells you the FPS for each moment. The other summarizes it in min, max, and average. So, it does the math for you.

Where are the files at? I hit F11 in game and I don't seem to be able to locate them.

Wow... That's... worse than I would expect with that system.

I didn't benchmark yet, but I recorded 3 matches on a full 64 player server @1920x1080, with it never dipping below 30 (FRAPS setting caps it at 30, but it never dipped).

Nah, keep in mind it is a 6870. It really doesn't look that bad to be honest. Also, note that I am on an older driver version. 11.9s are out and 11.10 are still in preview (I'm using 11.8). After perusing the thread, it comes in about where I expect in relation to a 6950 and similar CPUs and is good enough to not upgrade right now.

Derp. Totally read it as 6970.

If my Q6600 is still at 2.4 Ghz, will it bottleneck a GTX570 I am looking at buying? I am seeing conflicting posts on this topic for BF3. Some say BF3 is GPU only issue.

bf3 utilizes both gpu and cpu heavily. get that q6600 to 3.2 (preferably 3.6ghz) and your good to go. at 2.4ghz its going to hold back the 570

Anyone still getting those brief flashes where it looks like the whole screen turns greenish-yellow? I get this from time to time (same like in the Beta on both PC and Xbox 360 version). Running ATI Cat 11.9 on a HD 5770.

My roomate was saying something about half his screen flashing green. However he's on a GTX570. I haven't seen any green flashes, but I had a handful of crashes, and before one of them, the ground went invisible.

Yeah, I've gotten them a few times. A little annoying, but they go away after a short while.

HD 6950 with the 11.10 v3 drivers.

Ok, so here's my current build:

Current Build:
Intel Dual Core E8500
XFX nForce 780i 3-Way SLi Mobo
4GB Patriot Viper RAM
EVGA GTX 260 (Overclocked edition)
500gb Seagate Hard-Drive
Corsair 1000watt PSU
LIAN LI PC-65B Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower
22" Samsung LCD Monitor

As you can see, I currently have a GTX260 as my graphics card. Currently in Battlefield 3 (in Multiplayer, haven't played campaign yet) I can get away with, for the most part, medium settings. The only issue is that I'm obviously not getting the full graphic experience and also my load times in between matches is RIDICULOUSLY long (anywhere between 2-3 minutes of loading screen). I'm kind of short on cash, so my buddy is going to give me 2 GTX280's that I can SLi together on my current rig. My question is, how much of a difference should I expect to see or at least be able to change in the settings going from 1 GTX260 to 2 GTX280's?

I'm running it at 1680 x 1050 currently.

Does anything above 30 fps matter? I'm running 2500k and a 5770 on high. Somethimes I feel like my aiming is stuttering. Could be I am just bad, could be the multi-core issue people talk about or could be my setting is too high. I will have to run the FRAPS and see.
