I personally was not going to get premium simply because of its first expansion, but with this its essentially free so I figured why not!

I was extremely wary of the first expansion, as well. I did not want a COD-style cluster!$#!

However, if you avoid anything over 16 player servers then it is pretty fun. The level design and physical destruction abilities are amazing.

Unload a full LMG clip in one of the offices and tell me it wasn't worth the price of admission.

Haha, thats a great point. I'll stick to the sub-16 player servers. I'm a Arma2 freak and I like my tactics and stuff so the first DLC initially threw me off.

I'll second this - I hate the Operation Metro map and was afraid the Close Quarters expansion would be more of that but the CQ maps are all very well designed with no chokepoints and many, many flanking opportunities.

I dunno how many times I've killed one guy in a room than 3 or more of his team mates suddenly beamed down from starship enterprise and gang banged me...

Also people random spawning behind me and knifing me...D:

Yeah, more than 50% of my deaths in CQ have been spawning and getting shot in the back.

If 50% is an honest estimate then you must be playing 64 player CQ.

I've played through many CQ matches in the last 2 weeks and this rarely happens. More like 2%.

It happens more if I (regrettably) join a friend in 64p CQ.

I find 48 players to be the sweet spot for vanilla BF3. For CQ, anything more than 8 vs. 8 is too hectic.

I agree. I think I'm done buying the battlefield series for anything more than half of retail.
