Anyone know whats up with it kicking me out every 2 minutes into the game saying reason kicked PunkBuster?

EDIT: Nvm it works now and runs great at 4k but I get killed WAY too fast.

lol that's almost the exact comment someone made during a discussion on Ventrilo last night, actually there WAS a mod similar to that made with BF1942 (Interstate 1982?).

The only Battlefield I'd buy is Battlefield 2 HD, made with the new engine, but with B2's gameplay and mechanics.

Tha'd be very VERY nice. Everyone I bring this up to a BF player I'm always told "BF4 Classic mode is BF2 remade". No, no it isn't at all.

I'm tired of the health regen, bloody screen, and all the vehicle/weapon attachments that make this game now a days. Give me the 6 or 7 kits, a few different primary weapons for each and call it a day.

To be fair, there's nothing stopping you from (and most people do) only use a few of the weapons lol.

And I personally like the effect of being injured. I always thought it was pretty silly how, for so long (and in many games), players/characters at 1 health behaved identically to those at 100. The screen effect isn't particularly crippling but I appreciate the immediate feedback and the idea at least.

I really like classic mode except for the ability to only spawn on your squad leader, otherwise I think it gets it pretty much right. All my friends just play normal however so I end up playing that predominantly.

So they finally get BF4 working right (from what I hear, haven't touched it in over a year), then they release its replacement, which will probably be broken for another year.

Not really it's replacement. It's unofficial spiritual successor is actually going to be the new Star Wars Battlefront, which I hope has less BF4 and more BF3 DNA.
Frontline is no more a Battlefield successor than the Bad Company games. They are properties in the franchise, but Battlefield 5 will be the true successor to Battlefield 4 (unless they decide to come up with a new name that has the same gameplay mechanics... which could be Battlefront, which would be weird...)
I am a little worried that the next Battlefield may be by another developer, not DICE. With DICE having the every-other-year routine, Battlefront is in that slot. I don't think they can really pull off a Battlefront game (and perhaps maintain a series if successful) AND maintain the proper Battlefield series. That may be why Hardline is a dual-effort between DICE and Visceral, that may be a sort of hand-off, and we may see an every-other approach like the COD series, with rotating developers. I hope DICE still makes another Battlefield, but I just want them to learn from BF4 and give more BF3 and BF2 influence.

I'm not too worried. DICE LA seems to be doing better with bf4 than DICE sweden did. Sort of think DICE sweden needs to stick to the engine stuff at this point.

Im enjoying the Hardline beta, it definitely has a different vibe and feel to it than BF4. Ill probably buy it eventually, but not right away since I have GTAV pre-ordered and am really looking forward to getting into it.

Inconsistent is the best way I can describe the hit registration in both BF4 and the BFH beta.

Some rounds I'll kill a guy with one shot or burst (spraying & praying and KNOWING I'm missing), and another round I'll shoot a guy three times point blank in the back with a shotgun and he'll turn around and kill me with one shot while still at 50-100% health.

I've had a few good rounds of BFH beta, but I've quit more than that out of sheer frustration. Is it just me? Or does this happen to anyone else?

Happens constantly to me,add in instant kills.Not a issue i have ever experienced in BF3 unless there was major lag.Love and hate BF4 and the hate part is purely netcode.All other aspects of that game work perfectly and wonderful.

To many people swear its perfectly fine now but i disagree honestly,unless these same people are sitting in special low ping servers on fiber optic connections then maybe they have a point and a whole other experience.

The problem I have with the netcode is that the high frequency polling option is optional. This should be defaulted ON and not able to be changed for the client side. However, it should be a server side option for users to search for if the server has enabled it or not.

With it being optional, the netcode issues will not be fixed and kill trades and oddities will always occur.

Played it on ps4. I feel the graphics suck compared to bf4, the cars float around, and the hit detection and recoil is a bit off. I hear the single player will be good in this version. I'm not sure if I will get it but my friend loves it so far. I really wasn't that impressed and its way more fast paced than bf4.

Happens to me too and I'm on a low ping server usually and I have a fiber optic connection.
It made me stop playing, I didn't get the season pass, and I may never purchase a BF game again. Most likely won't.

the rate they keep shoveling these and the CoD games, I'm pretty much only buying now at a deep discount to play through the SP campaign. Seems like a waste if you don't want to get it and keep at it as a day 1 purchase if you are into the MP portion.

They pretty much have to force me to play the single player with special weapons that can only be unlocked by playing the campaign, otherwise Id never bother. LOL

pfft, I haven't played single player in years, spent like 15 minutes in BF4's single player and never again bothered with it, the fact that you have to unlock certain weapons in MP with completing SP missions kind of blows though. Last SP I finished or went far in was Bad Company 2, never bothered with CoD single player since CoD1/UO.
