It actually does, going by the dates he gave in his Feb 4th entry. The guy spearheading the entire project didn't even join the company until January 07, he then said it was several weeks of just general brainstorming before they were even ready to decide on any type of art direction, which by that point would've been closer to a year after the first TF2 trailer had been released.
Really, it's not even that big of a deal. It's just not realistic for any game that comes out to be completely original in all aspects, but it's about giving credit where credit is due. Yeah there are other "cartoony" looking games, but BF:Heroes is just so far off from something like NOLF, XIII, or Psychonauts even, and so obviously borrowed directly from the vein of TF2 that it's dumb to even try to argue otherwise.
I'm just pissed off at the direction DICE has taken with this game in general. It's one thing to borrow from another game and acknowledge it, more in the sense of a nod to the original. But the fact of the matter is, this is a shovelware release that only exists for the sole purpose of feeling out the market. The concept for a new game should never ever start with the question, what's hot right now and how can we get a piece of it? These guys gathered into a room and decided micro-transactions were the new "it" then tried to figure out a way to base a game around it. Then they go and steal TF2's look, cause I'm sure at the time that was the new buzz.
Obviously the senior producer has no problem admitting to it, and I respect that, but some other douchebag within the company is trying to save face and spread fud. Just give Valve their props and put out your crappy game.
