the beta is always open to all. It comes out the 1st week of September.

Im glad to hear the beta will be open since Im not planning on pre-ordering at this point. I would really like to play a different map with more vehicles to see if that makes a difference in my perception of the game.

You know the sounds did seem different. I played with a decent headset this time compared to my desktop speakers and I can see what you mean. The first day of the second alpha I had no issues with the laggy hits but the second day I played I saw that a lot actually. I initially thought nothing of it and figured it's the servers. But I definitely missed out on some kills because it was clear I was shooting at people even medium range body shot and it didn't register.

What I really missed out on was battlefield 2042, never actually played that one but I heard so many great things.

Same here. The first day I played the second alpha it played very smooth for me but lots of people were complaining about laggy hits and I thought it must just be their connection or PC issues, but after the next two days I saw what they were complaining about. Issues like that are expected in an alpha, but what concerns me is the fact that I loved playing all the BF3,4, and 1 alphas and betas. I remember that I couldn't wait to get home to play those even with all their crazy bugs and issues, but I feel none of that with this game. All I felt was aggravation the entire time I was playing it, even when I was tearing up the scoreboard.

2042 was definitely different from what we have now, it was okay even though the futuristic stuff wasn't really my cup of tea. I really liked BFBC2 Vietnam.

After watching the Ken Burns Vietnam Documentary and it reminding me of BF Vietnam...I so wish they would return to that. Loved that iteration of the game.

Damn I thought it was a historical WW2 game like BF1942 but no it's the feminist BF edition. Also doesn't look like much of an upgrade to BF1.

I haven't been following this game much. There was actually an article in today's Wall Street Journal about this game being delayed until November 20th due to feedback from players. Came on here to check out the hype. Watched the video linked a few pages back. If they go more back to the roots it would be fine for me. BF4 was bad IMO, didn't play BF1...

Still feels like BF1 to me. Bah, I don't know. I personally feel like WWII was a critical error. Too similar to BF1 and BF1 got so boring I couldn't believe it. 2 more years of that sounds like absolute torture to me. I can't bear the thought of it personally, and I usually love BF games. Still play BF4 actually.

It wouldn't have been so bad if they actually made a WWI game with BF1 and made semi-autos hero weapons basically. Instead they decided to make a WWII game technology wise with a different skin.

Game looks like Michael Bay's version of SJW's WWII. Really sad to see this because I had a blast back in the day with BF1942 and all the mods that came from it. This game is a huge departure from its roots in ways that I don't appreciate.

Right now I'm just enjoying Post Scriptum and also looking forward to playing more of Hell let loose when it is more complete.

Also interesting to see how EA stock plummeted after they announced the delay of the game too. I think it's the least pre-ordered game out of most the battlefield games too.

it was sandwiched in between red dead redemption 2 and a big installment of COD - the timing was poor as well. i doubt this game is selling slower than usual due to the snowfllake shovenists that seem to be out there.

Now back to the game discussion appears there will be at least one free open beta weekend, at least we all can try it then decide if we want to buy.

pre-loaded the beta on ps4 and pc today. can play tomorrow if you pre-ordered or have ea access. otherwise the 6th. warning for all snowflakes, on the beta loading screen there is one character - and it's a chick - with a gun. OH THE HORROR I CAN"T PLAY THIS GAME!

I too pre-loaded the beta on both PC and PS4. Looking forward to it. For more than the past decade, a Battlefield game has been my main game. I am looking forward to more games this year, but this is my main game. Hopefully does not disappoint. Pre-oders have been way down, and pushed back. We'll see what happens.

I don't care that it has a female no matter how historically inaccurate it is, I just don't like that it looks just like BF 1's menu. Same colors, style, etc. Different game, make it look different.

I was in both the alphas but I didn't preorder. I'll play the beta on the 6th and then decide if preorder is necessary. Unless you get a discount I don't see the point as you can get it anytime. You do get to play new maps earlier than the rest that didn't preorder but I think that concept is sort of dumb.

Pre-ordering is not just about the small benefits you get in game, it's to support a game. Some things I don't like about BF games but they have consistently provided me with the best FPS experience for over a decade since 2142 came out, to BF3, Bad Company and more. I bought BF1 even though I was so not into the WWI theme cause I had faith in the developers, and gave it a shot and ended up playing a shit ton. So one may choose to support a developer with your wallet.

Since it will be out in November I still have time to preorder if I want. I pre-ordered bf 1 and I played that game a ton too. I really enjoyed the single player aspect too. But I had a lot of fun in multiplayer. I just really wish they kept the regular healing portion in this game. The healing animations take a bit too long and I found myself easily getting taken down when I would go to revive someone.

No the way that you revived someone without the extra 15 seconds of animation it takes to do it now. I'm fine with no regen healing I didn't like that in the first place.

I don't understand. Only medics could revive in BF1 but now anyone can revive, albeit much slower. Medics in BFV are still very fast, couple of seconds at most.
