Awesome! I was trying to hunt down my media and play the original recently. This has been long overdue! This game was way ahead of it's time.

Bought and played a bit. Not much has changed, but that's probably a good thing! Went through the tutorial and started the 1st mission, but stopped.

I won't be playing much soon because i have vowed to finish a few of my AAA titles before moving on again...

I've been a PC gamer for about a quarter century, and only three games ever truly captured my attention:
-NetHack (ASCII Roguelike)
-Battlezone
-cRPG (mod for Mount & Blade Warband)

Battlezone's graphics were astounding for the time, and it melded action and realtime strategy elements like no other game before or since. The AI was atrocious, but at least in multiplayer it was equally atrocious for both you and your opponent (half the fun was tricking the enemy AI ships into getting stuck on terrain and taking themselves out of the fight).

Don't miss the original Rogue, if just to appreciate where nethack is from. It's also an incredible game.
