Amen. You are complaining because the panel doesn't perform to your expectation when it wasn't designed to optimize non-native resolution. If you want to run at 1024 X 768, get a 15" LCD panel or a standard CRT.

Also, don't bash it because it doesn't match the quality of a panel costing 25% to 50% more. That's the same as ripping an economy car because it doesn't handle like a luxury sports sedan. Have you ever heard of price points? If you want a panel with a true 20ns response, you can find it...but not at $300..

And the $300 Cornea 17" from TD? Seems like a much better deal to me. Plus the rebate is only $50.

Kogi is a no-name brand monitor, probably using the lowest quality made panel, don't complain if you find the display output is not good.

My brother bought a cornea and his LCD ID is showing up as an older model. I don't trust the company.

Let me guess - He got it from TigerDirect?
I'll bet Cornea is blowing out their inventory (prior to Nov. 2002) of MP704's with the older screens through them. They also kept TigerDirect from creating confusion with their new stuff by calling them "Famous Brand" instead of Cornea.
