Seagate 320 GB SATA internal drive.

SKU: 8295579
Model: ST303204N1A1AS
7200RPM
16MB Buffer

43.99 clearance item.

Unfortunately, Best Buy clearance prices are determined by each manager, and they won't price match clearance prices at other Best Buy stores so it's definitely YMMV.

Call first to confirm stock, and if they show any, ask them to visually confirm. I've had too many experiences with them not having what their computer shows. Then, ask the person to hold it for you, and get a name.

Good luck.

BB deals are too YMMV for me to even bother with. I wish they would get more Nationwide sales.

I thought the rule was to never call. No wonder they don't have any left when you call.

I couldn't find it, but... they had the Antec Trio 650 for 95, not bad price if you want a PSU right away...

IMO if BB is close enough, you should never call as they will find the deals themselves and then purchase it.

better to just go and check for yourself.

Learned long ago never to call first, stoping in the morning. My store is 1/2 mile away.
Wish me luck, and thanks OP

Best Buy employees drive me nuts. I'm more impressed with Walmart customer service.

:disgust: Apparently my BB (Albany, NY) sucks - I see all these BB hot deals with YMMV and occasionally I go to check it out but I have never, ever gotten the hot deal. Tried it again last week (over a half hour drive) and they had nothing at a price that made me want to buy. Must be because it's the only one in the area so they never have big buildup of unsold stock to put on clearance. I've pretty much come to accept that YMMV means I won't be getting the deal, but it's still frustrating enough that I came here to rant about it. Before everyone commences with the flaming - yes I know that's what YMMV means. If only there was an simple acronym for "you won't be getting this deal unless someone posts that your store has 1000 in stock and you can get there in the next five minutes"...

Edit: Now that I read the whole thread I see jjmIII said basically what I said but in fewer words and sounding less like a rant - conciseness FTW!

bb rarely price-matches for me, if i really want something i just buy at regular price and do a return/rebuy at the store with lower price, in my area there is a store that typically gets good clearances deals.

I'm in the same boat, the 2 stores in Baton Rouge are very slow to clear out discontinued stock, rarely will do it at prices shown here. Most of the time they will drop the price some, handwrite a note over the stock saying 1 per person, no exceptions, and some dweeb will pick it up thinking they got a great deal.

But that's my store, everyone is different. The one close to me, I pass by most every day while on the road, so it's no big deal to drop in, and fully expect I'm wasting my time.

??? Tried the Deptford, NJ, BB and there wasn't a Seagate disk of any type on the shelves. Almost all WD, with a few Hitachi.

Local stores are having major closeouts. I went to one and all the laptop hard drives and several desktop drives were closeout. They had the 120GB Seagate ide for $28 sold out. So I went to the other store where it was about $50 and tried to get a pricematch, but they said they couldn't pricematch for that price after calling the other store.

buy it at store that has it for 50 and go to the store which is sold out and tell them you want to switch the card you used to purchase it, they will void original transaction and run another one with the clearanced price, dont go on the same day though , it takes a day for the transaction to show up in their system
