Like title says Mag 14" LCD (Mfr # LT464S) for 189.99 - 50MIR = 139.99 + tax.

terrible, what do you expect from a 'Mag'???

Great for me though, need something very portable and this fits the purpose for a great price.

FYI, there is a thread going on at the fatty, the Envision probably is a better buy but:
Mag is truely wall mountable
External 12V source great for car applications
*might* have speaker options with a little wiring.

I'm wondering what would be a better choice for my parents. A 17" CRT (16" viewable) or this 14" LCD. I lose 2 inches of viewable space, but gain a whole lotta desk space. Does anyone have one of these and can tell me how cramped it gets if you're not running a high resolution (my parents hate squinting to see small icons & text).

I will take 14" not because of space, but comfort and less radiation to my eyes.
BTW, you really need to run it at 1024X768 otherwise the text / graphic become so..hmm....distorted?

In the programming lab at our school all the machines have 15" LCDs running at 800x600 non-native! At least they don't lock down the machine so you can bump it to 1024x768 native.

I just hooked mine up, it looks very bad. The contrast is horrible, it's dull and looks washed. I've tried adjusting the brightness/contrast in the OSD and Nvidia control panel, no help. It looks like a cheap laptop screen, the old Dual Scan display. it's going back.

I had the 17" Mag LCD for a while, which gave me so bad feeling and I had to get rid of it as soon as I got the Dell 1800FP deal.
I am sure the 14" one will be worse. Don't buy this crap, guys!

Just got back from Best Buy with a Mag 15" LCD on clearance for $150, no rebates. Maybe my eyes deceive me but this is actually a decent unit. Not the sharpest picture but equivalent to my Samsung 955df 19" and it looks fine for gaming/watching DVDs also. I picked up the last one. I also got a 17" Kogi LCD for a friend, with 10% coupon and $60 rebate it came out to just under $300 after tax.

Well I got one today...not bad for the price. $189 less the 10% coupon, less the $50 rebate, totals about $119. Not bad for a new LCD. Too bad no speakers....

I have the 17 inch version and again on Best Buy's site there it says no speakers, but it DOES HAVE SPEAKERS. they are built in the sides of it. perhaps i'm missin something.

Don't be dissing Mag. I've got a 14" Mag from like 5 years ago that is clearer and runs higher resolutions than some 17 monitors out there. This thing blew my mind when I hooked it up, after finding it under a pile of trash in my Dad's garage.

Not sure about their current quality, but if it's half that of their old stuff, it'll be damn good.

if you have an ati all in wonder card u should be able to use it as tv.
