Well the things is, the ACC had UVA, BC, and Clemson very highly ranked, additionally they had a very good Florida St. team. Having said that the SEC most definitely is still a harder conference to play.

LSU is going to annihilate OSU -- this is going to be a bad bad BCS game if that is in fact true.

I think OSU will beat LSU. I think lot of teams can beat LSU. LSU is lucky they played Tennessee today because Georgia would have beat em.

I'm so glad missouri and wvu lost, neither deserved to be in the bcs bowl

LSU is definitely one of the top 2 teams that should be in the bcs national championship game

LSU is one of the most undisciplined teams in the the country...no way do they destroy someone for the crystal. The only team I think that would crush OSU straight up would be WVU because of the spread option.

HAHAHAHA...oh wait...HAHAHAHHAHAHA

Ok, I'm done.

You'd have to be an idiot to think that WV could beat LSU or OSU. They lost to two unranked teams. They also almost lost to freaking CINCY!

A very good FSU team? They were 7-5 and finished 4th in their division behind BC, Clemson, & WF

The Big Ten heavyweights can't defend teams that run a spread option.

Still you have to look at LSU's D-Line which is ridiculously good. Their secondary can be a little iffy, but they have some of the best linebackers in the NCAA.

OSU has played literally no one. Look at their schedule. The only team that is still ranked that they played was Illinois-- and they are barely in the top 25 right now. LSU may be undisciplined but they have A LOT of talent.

Also keep in mind that VT BARELY lost to BC and definitely outplayed them the entire game. The prevent defense is what destroyed us at the end of the game.

No way a 2 loss team jumps a 1 loss OSU, like it or not they'll be #1, the issue is determining who is going to be #2.

Look at their defense. They shut down BC. Their offense may not be too great, but their defense is very good.

LSU will kill them if they play. They will have a month to finally heal and have everyone back and healthy like they did at the beginning of the season. OSU has never beaten an SEC team in a bowl game and I don't expect that trend/pattern/GIVEN to change this year.

I think they are saying OSU will be #1 and either GA or LSU will be #2.

Either way, SEC will win the NC if they play for it. OSU got a wakeup call against FLA last year. SEC is just hands down the best conference.

1. OSU- Poor schedule, but hey only 1 loss in a major conference, guess that will have to do.
2. USC- Blow out AZ state/UCLA back to back. Both two losses were within a touchdown (even though one was to stanford, I guess LSU is better here) but besides those losses they have put up more consistent wins. Coming out of the stretch, I think USC is the hottest team in the country.
3. LSU- Lost too late, no big convincing wins, didn't win the SEC championship in a convincing manner. Tougher schedule than USC, but they just don't look like a top 2 team, even though none of these do.
4. Georgia- didn't win conference, enough said
5. VT- last week's most overrated team in my opinion, they got blown out by LSU

Hell, this might even be a good time to at least do a 4 team playoff.

I was impressed at the beginning, but injuries mounted and they showed some undiscipline and weakness. Not only that, they blew #1 not once, but TWICE. I actually think Florida should be there- Tebow is a monster, of the teams that have a chance LSU should be the best.

Bolded for the blind.

Michigan lost the first two games of the season. It had nothing to do with Oregon being good, it had to do with the fact that Michigan was WAY over rated and lost hope after losing to a Div. AA team.

OSU have played cupcakes all year and their ranking is crap. They'd lose to any good SEC team week to week if they played a real team.

Lou Holtz even said that Miles should leave LSU to go to Michigan because the wins are so much easier in the Big 10.

WV lost to PITT who is 5-7 on the year. You can't sit around and say how great the spread offense is when they can't beat a sub-500 team.

Holy Christ, do you just accept everything ESPN says as gospel? Florida has a serious shortage of assistant for Tebow. A good chunk of his gaudy stats came in garbage time during games that were well in hand.

How can you say VT is overrated. Other than the loss to LSU injured, we lost to another #2 team in the last seconds. Other than that we won convincingly in almost every game.

And USC? You have USC jumping 6 spots? UCLA has absolutely no offense and isn't ranked!! USC may be, outside of OSU the most overrated team in the country.

OSU will probably be in the national championship, and they will probably get embarrassed again. Honestly I think that OSU would lose to any other team in the top ten.

Assuming you're a UT fan (based on your profile location), I'll try to dumb this down for you.

WVU losing to Pitt isn't as big a deal as you're making it out to be. It's a rivalry game. I know you understand rivalry games. WVU losing to Pitt is like UT getting spanked by Bama 41-17.
