My buddy got a long apology letter emailed to him from Amazon - looked sincere at first, then you realize that it was just a form letter.
Dear (insert customer name), we are very sorry about your experience with the (insert product name) that you ordered from Amazon, blah blah blah...
But if he got two bad ones back to back, you do have to wonder how many were (or still are) on the shelf.
I will add that I too have ordered many things from Amazon and have never had any problems.
