I am just wondering. Do any of you believe in beating your kids?

I grew up 'old school asian' so I would get a good beating when i fvcked up and that seems to be the case with a lot of my frenz. Any one think we should still do it?

i don't know about necessarily beating my kids... i mean, i grew up like that as well, but i don't necessarily think i need to beat my kids...

i do believe in spanking if that's what you're talking about... not overly excessive or abusive, but as needed in a disciplinary manner.

If my kids get out of line, they get swatted on the rear or hand if they are grabbing something off of my desk. My 4 year old still likes to bite so we bite her back and make it hurt.

There are many non-physical methods of teaching kids respect and discipline that produce much better results than spanking and violence.

There are occasions when taking the time to properly administer these techniques is not really a viable option, so in situations a slight smack on the bum is sufficient.
