I should have said, imo. The murderbox doesn't really go for the bling look though, where as Cyberdruid's stuff might. Different style, but that's where it all comes down to, can't argue about taste. Yet aigo try's so hard, purely because the murderbox isn't as efficient as it could be, and doesn't perform as well as a watercooled rig where performance doesn't get compromised for beauty ...
Marc, i like to protect people on this forum from usless crap.
Why? because i have tons of useless crap and well its useless.
To me this sysytem looks like one of those useless craps because of all the 90's and bends. Why wouldnt you want watercooling performance for watercooling premium price? Is that honestly too much to ask for?
The setup just needs a few minor Tweeks. Im not asking him to rebuild the entire thing. Just change some of the 90's correctlly. Also try to conserve your flow.
Watercooling 101:
General Concept:
Thermal Resistance is the resistance of which mol. enters the water. This in turn relates to heat that is transfered from metall -> water.
The more flow you add onto the exisisting system, the TR(themal resistance) is lowered.
Flow is in relation to head pressure on a h2o system. Head Pressure is the more important number you look at when picking pumps.
Depending on the build of each block, your sytem will take a flow reduction as well as a presssure reduction each time it hits a component on your system. This translates to loss in performance.
Each 90 he has placed is almost = to about 3 feet or more of tubing. [Cathar's messurements]
Thats just on the looping.
The PA120.2 is the creators sad attempt to not be able to find any PA120.3 There was a shortage on these radiators. Yet, he doesnt have the required channels to get one? Also price difference about 20 dollars. Ummm he cheaped 20 dollars for an added 200W of heat disapation. [To me that sounds like a jerk because no additional moding is required on the TJ-07 to fit a PA120.3]
[incase anyone i wondering, i can probably get 1 in 2 week time even if they are backordered]
Radiator Selection and Placement:
You pick the radiator for application. Not whatever radiator will fit. If you cant fit the radiator required, you DONT watercool or your performance will suck.
Now let me shoot some nice little nummbers for you
Q6600 (G0) @ 1.4Vcore ~ 170-185W of heat
G80 GTX ~ 150-160W of heat
PA120.2 threshold for stress point ~ 350-400W of heat. [You really want to only load your radiator by 1/2 and never the full stress point]
Your hovering near stress point on the radiator, so now your G80 will overheat your coolant, and your cpu temps will be about = to a tuniq tower or ultra120.
nice 7g's for a system that performs on par with air. Is also probably louder the one as well. At least you can smile cuz it looks clean.
i think my CM690 looks cleaner, and if i added color to the coolant, most likely look pimper.
