We close the closest door all the way because there is a security light right out side the closet window.

We close the bathroom door almost all the way because of the early morning light through the skylight in there. We do not close it all the way for easier access during the night.

We do not close the bedroom door so we can hear what is going on in the house and so the kids can easily enter our room in the middle of the night if they need to.

I have preferred positions, noise and lighting situations, but nothing that necessarily keeps me awake or helps me sleep. Mostly just habit I would guess.

I like the bedroom and closet doors to be open at all times. I have two fans that I have trouble sleeping without, but I think it's more of an air circulation thing than a white noise thing. I also leave a light on at the end of the hall to aid in nocturnal bathroom trips.

Take my vaporizer, fill it with bud and smoke as I fall asleep in bed. Best way to fall asleep. I get knocked out within minutes instead of tossing and turning for about an hour. Way better than sleeping pills....

I watch TV on my computer in bed and before I know it I've fallen asleep, no matter what the conditions are. This includes being drunk (understandable that it happens) and sober.

I fell a sleep last night with the lights on (they are spot lights with one light shining directly on the bed), my computer on, full clothed and with my glasses on and wearing wireless headphones. I woke up at 10am this morning.

not really.

I shut my bedroom door for warmth in the winter (and cold in the summer, when I've got the AC going). I keep it open in the fall/spring, though. I get a good cross breeze going if the doors/windows in my bedroom and bathroom are all open.

my closet is always shut because there's no reason to have it open unless I'm getting something out of it.

i cant say that ive never fallen asleep in conditions such as these but its because i passed out... if ive fallen asleep with lights on or a door open, i wake up feeling uneasy though. usually i have a little routine of getting ready for bed and then the final step is shutting all the doors.

My room door has to be closed, locked while I'm at school (uni), but it's okay if it's unlocked at home. Lights off, I even cover up the sleep light on my Macbook Pro.. it's too bright.
and... that's pretty much it.

I can only fall asleep if my dick is in a pussy. I haven't slept in a while...

I also prefer to have doors/drawers closed. I prefer to have my closet/bedroom doors closed, but I don't mind if the sliding door onto my balcony is open to let air in. It also tends to annoy me if a dresser drawer is open. I love a fan on, and it needs to be cool - sub 70C. Pitch black is ideal. So I suppose I'm somewhat OCD about my ideal sleep habits, but I can sleep anywhere if necessary.

I too have trouble sleeping when it's above 70C.

Four years of college taught me how to sleep under nearly any possible conditions. I fell alseep when I was getting some tattoos done, the artist had to wake me up so I could change the position of my arm.

Yes, I grew up next to a fairly busy street so I always had a rush of car noise while I was sleeping. I got used to it or something because now I can't sleep in the dead silence of my current place. I always leave a fan running just to have some constant background noise.

I need it to be pitch black. I very light sensitive eyes. And not in a good way either. Its unpleasant. I am always annoyed if theres even a tiny bit of light in my bedroom. The little tiny red light on the electric heater is too much for me. I cover it with a 3x5 index card. Tape isnt enough. Too much light bleeds through.

Having doors open bothers me too. I live alone and have no reason to close the doors, but I just have to close them.

If I am getting up early or will likely have a light sleep, I end up on the left side of the bed.

If I can sleep in, I end up on the right side of the bed.

I don't do this on purpose, but it is a habit I suppose.

Pics of OP sleeping with the doors closed in order to make an informed decision?
