Beef jerky $11 ~ $12/lbs?

yup, i use a generic dehydrator (at least 10 years old) to make honey pepper and/or teriyaki jerky.

fiancee loves it, and it only costs about $3 per pound to make...

About the MSG comment. I read a paper somewhere saying that this MSG scare was never scientifically proven, just like how people think Cell phones cause headaches.

I will agree that in General, Chineese Jerkey is better, however, you can not say that unless you try GOOD premium American Jerkey.

A friend of mine just got back from Toronto, they picked me up a box of Soo Singapore Hot Beef Jerkey ... this stuff is fscking awesome.....

I bought about 2 lbs from Fortune Jerky last year. I was sorry. I had high hopes, especially from so many glowing reviews, but it just wasn't very good. It didn't taste very beefy, which was kind of a turnoff. The worst were the cubes, which smelled like dog food. They didn't taste all that bad, but they weren't worth what I paid (and it was relatively cheap).

i might have to check this stuff out. i have never had chinese jerky, but i make my own all the time. my neighbor grew up on an indian reservation and he taught me how to make the stuff old school style. it is by far the cheapest since you dont need any special equipment, its all about the marinade and the salt. i dry it in a grill (with the burners off its just to keep the flys out) out in the texas heat and lightly smoke it with wood chips. the only problem is i cant ever make enought of it.

I received my order over the weekend. 1 lb of the cube and 1 lb of spicy. I am definately dissappointed. I also had high hopes from all the reviews, especially on how good the cubes were. The spicy one was a bit better, but no way as good as the one bought from chinese markets. I end up paying $30 shipped for two pounds. I consider it a lesson learned and won't buy from them anymore.

Well the cell phone thing is kind of for real since I had the phone with the highest output rating on the market and after a while you definitely feel it =(

My friend had the phone that tied my phone for emissions, woohooo!!!

These were the Kyocera QCP-6035 smartphone and Erriccsson T228i or something or another (don't remember) but either way it was great to look at the emission chart and see both our phone at the very top lol.

Then apparently testing on mice shows they get tumors if exposed to 2 hours of cell phone usage a day...yay....

The MSG scare though is kinda silly, since there's really no negative effect on like 99.9% of people. I mean, it was doritos and like a ton of other stuff. The real trigger was probably xenophobia about chinese take out places. Lame.
