non-chopped/non-formed is X100 better

chopped and formed is cheap/crap

Tillamook is DEFINATLY gooood stuff. My favorite beef jerkey by a long shot at least.
Second best would have to be deer jerkey ....
Third favorite would have to be Chineese style peppered beef jerkey

I bought a cheap dehydrater as prev. stated.It works real good and is one heck of a lot cheaper than those $ I looked at.

They're different companies. Tillamook Cheese (and other dairy products) is made by the Tillamook County Creamery Association, a farmer co-op. Tillamook Jerky is made by Tillamook Country Smokers in Bay City, OR. They were several lawsuits filed by the co-op over the use of the Tillamook name, but TCS eventually won (on appeal though). The whole thing was ridiculous on the dairy's part, as Tillamook is the name of the town, county, and bay.
Tillamook dairy has fallen quite a bit out of fashion of late in Oregon. The suit created a lot of bad press for them. People finally realized that they are no longer the local company that they used to be and still advertise themselves as being.

Well using a tradename seems unlawful by another company I'm surprised they lost from things I've seen.. e.g. MikeRoeSoft.com or McDonalds Garage.

Many times it's not whos right or wrong, it's whos got the money carry case far enough to prove thier right..

Sure they can - Mcdonald is probably the most common scottish name in america - There are towns even named McDonald, If your last name is McDonald just try and open MCdonalds whatever and see how fast you're hit with injuction... all that really matters is if McDonalds can convince a judge a mistaken association can be made as I just did with tillamook. Which is why I'm surprised they lost - I'd be even more suprised if appeal did'nt sort that out.
