then to top it off we been having issues with the neighbors. they been driving on my property (my property buts up 2ft from the driveway). i have asked them to stop and they just called me a bunch of names. so we called the cop. the cop claims they had a paper that says there property was up against a tree 10 ft in my yard (not a survey but something that had the dimensions of the house on it). so the cop didnt do anything about it.
well we had a survey crew come out and do it (great another $800). the neighbors were yelling at the crew to get off the lawn. they just laughed and steped over and said ok. but it was to cold to put anything in the ground to mark it.
well they were out the other day. i go out this morning and guess what? they had pulled up all the steaks and threw them on my yard.
sigh such fun times. i think im going to run away to mexico.
Stakes can be pulled out, although it is not legal in most states to remove survey markers, it happens.

Since you'd need proof, you could simply have a savvy policeman ask them if they pulled them out because they were in the wrong place. If the officer is decently intelligent, he can twist the conversation to put them on the spot where they either have to admit the property lines were correct, else that they pulled up the stakes. If so, you could small claimserize them to get them to pay to have the stakes replaced in the correct spot. (there's a word you won't see often.)

After laughing and geting pictures (sorry cops took them) i went out and kicked him. he got mad and ran home. his mother came out screaming at me.
