Beer lovers, untie! Untappd

Just downloaded the untappd app, but the website has the same functionality. My username is Tallbill.... a good way to track beers and what you like.

I also use beercloud to get new info. Any other beer apps that I need?

I have this on my phone and used it a bit, but ended up recording things on Beer Free https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.metosphere.beerfree more. Maybe I'll have to try out Untappd some more.

Tried it, not a huge fan though. Untappd was a lot cleaner plus notes are limited to 140 characters. I use beercloud if I want to find beers at a store or read about a beer.

I use a Google spreadsheet (similar to what xSauronx does, actually). Not sortable though. I have columns for brewery, brew name, type, and notes.

Fair enough. I try so many different beers I found it helpful for tracking exactly what I had consumed since I can log it, rate it, and add a picture of the bottle and whatnot. Going to try out untappd some more though to see how it goes.

I give all of my friends who use the untapped app shit. What's the point? I must be missing something... because if there's one thing I don't need when I'm drinking beer it's electronic assisstance.

Like I posted above I try so many different beers throughout a year that I often forget which ones I liked and which ones I didn't, so I use the app to track all of that. That way when I go to the store or go to a restaurant I can easily see which ones I liked that are available to buy there, or even new ones I want to try since they have recommendations and stuff.
