I picked up quite a few bottles recently from Total Wine.

Verhaeghe Duchesse De Bourgogne, a Flemish Ale. Really good if you like that style. Goes really well with some foods.
St Bernardus Pater 6. Huge fan of St. Bernardus and just want something "lighter" than an Abt 12.
Ommegang Three Philosophers. Still one of my favorite beers of all time, so I always get it.
Kasteelbier Donker. This is a new one for me.
Well's Banana Bread Beer. A new one for me too. I'm not optimistic, but who knows.
Allagash Tripel Reserve. This is seriously good.

That's about it. That should keep me busy.

Drinking Dogfish head 60 minute IPA and dewars. Will most likely have a Hercules Double IPA next, then an 90 minute IPA to complete the evening.

Self-imposed ride on the wagon until I run my half marathon on February 15th, so everyone has to drink an extra one for me please.

You've got some of my favs in that list. I absolutely adore the Duchesse. Have you had St. B's Grotten Flemish? I really enjoyed that as well.

Victory Hop Wallop for me. This has become one of my very favorite beers. I love Imperial Pale Ales, and this is a good one.

I cleaned my fridge out last night (and in doing so, slept in way way late today to avoid the hangover ). I'm about to leave to get some more.

I figure I'll just end up with Yuengling. I need to go to Walmart to get other things, but unfortunately the selection there is just plain bad, and don't particularly feel like making other stops when it's so cold out!

L4D + pounding beers all night = win

Lol, noobs thinking Stella is classy. It's nothing but the budweiser-pilsner of Belgium. They market it like it's fine stuff but it's the cheap of the cheap over there. Hoegaarden is much better if you want a Belgian beer.
YABSA

A six-pack of Stella was perfect for watching 8 STRAIGHT quarters of playoff football yesterday.

So all of the micros I buy are from a shelf at Binny's. If I refridgerate them and then pull them out at a later time to store, does this fuck up anything in the bottle?

Going to a fancy steakhouse tonight, so whatever they have on tap. I still have a B.O.R.I.S. that I might hit up at some point as well.

Remember, no bashing beer choices, because even the cheapest beer is still beer!

Hoppin' Frog's BORIS? If so, I think that's a pretty good oatmeal stout at a pretty good price! Sadly, I'm working this weekend so probably no drinking for me. Perhaps I'll have a Corsendonk Pale or some random gueze when I get home.

Yeah, good stuff!

Going to the beer store shortly, it happens to be right next to the butcher. What a winning combo.

I'm Belgian and he's somewhat right. Inbev is doing a great job in marketing Stella a an upmarket pilsner. Here in Belgium it is just the beer that is on a tap everywhere and the stuff that we have at home. The same goes for Hoegaarden.

How much does a Kasteelbier costs in the USA?

I know the economy is in the shitter when friend of mine brought a 30 of Old Milwaukee to a party yesterday. Now this isn't a college party or anything, he's 35-ish and he and his wife both own businesses w 2 kids. Times are tough when he said he didn't want to put out the money for Miller Lite.

Have to go hit BevMo to restock on some micros.

Friend suggested, and he said don't laugh, the Bud American Ale, and that it was surprisingly good.

Any suggestions for brown ales. Samuel Smiths Nut Brown Ale is my current favorite. Pick it up from Trader Joe's.
