why does draft tastes better than all cans and glass bottles?!

every time i go to bar for draft beers, it tastes so great but when i buy beer cans/bottles, it tastes okay.

and keg with beer even tastes better!

keg/draft > can/bottle

yuengling lager is my favorite and their bottles taste mildly okay but draft tastes so amazing. i hate going to bar to spend $$$ on draft beers than saving money by buying bottles.

Are you nuts? draft is so watered down...maybe that's why you like it.
bottled beer is the best out of the three.

Can you explain the difference between keg and draft??? I thought draft beer comes from a keg.

Beer on tap is better hands down. Its probably also a mental thing...its a good time at a bar..and good bars have good beers on draft...so natrually you start to think that beer on tap is better then beer in a bottle.

But its also just true.

Only beer my wife ever tried and said wasn't bad was Michelob Amber Bock when I got one from on tap at a restaurant. So I bought some when we got home and it just wasn't the same.

Draught beer rocks.

I drink a lot of micro brews...and the times i actually drink it from the tap at their bar seems to have a lot more flavor to me.

Bar on tap = :thumbsup:

Home/party keg = eh

Bottled = :thumbsup:

Cans = "emergencies only"

Plastic Bottle = :thumbsdown:

However, FREE BEER, in any form = :thumbsup::thumbsup:

With bottles I think you get the most consistency in flavor. Tap beer can range quite a bit in flavor. Cans typically have a flat, "tin'ish" flavor to them.

I think that with tap beer it has higher carbonation and will *typically* be fresher than something that you get in a can or bottle, hence the difference in finish/flavor.

Bottle -> Cold glass. That's the best way to have it.

Draft is so inconsistent and has a lot of preservatives in it (you'd be surprised how long that stuff sits in the keg). Drink enough draft at the bar and you'll get the draft headache from the preservatives. Sure, sometimes you can get really good draft, but having beer from a cold glass that was poured from a bottle is the best way to go. Cans get that metallic flavour so they're just out.
