Stella

Can't speak for the others you mentioned.

Oh, & from what cressida mentioned below, i love Hoegaarden.

If you can get it cheap, i like Corona (not if it's a lot though...).

Here are some of my picks

Wheat
- Hoegaarden
- Live Oak Hef (local in Austin, Tx)
- Hacker Pschorr

IPA
- Dogfish head 90 minute
- Dogfish head 120 minute (lol it's only one bottle but it's almost 20% alcohol)

Regular beers
- Corona
- Modelo Especial
- Shiner
- Bud light (good cheap party beer)
- Bud lime
- New Castle

Out of all those you recommended
Fat Tire, Red Stripe, and Stella Artois

I like Red Stripe the most.

I can't believe people like Hoegaarden. That stuff is vomit worthy. Yuck.

In my defense, I can't think of a single other beer I actually hate....

I'm going to get some beer tonight. I never had any Brooklyn beers even though I live in NY and see it all the time. I'll probably try that.

Normally I just drink Yuengling as it pretty much owns.

I consider yuengling beer to be the standard good beer for a good price. Cheaper than sam adams which is the cheapest of the fancy beers for the most part. blue moon is good... honestly just picking up a random 6pack that looks interesting is good advice.

I've had several of the random 6 packs. I stick with Blue Moon though. I bought a 6 pack last weekend and have 5 left lol.

Yup, Yuengling is the best standard beer for a reasonable price.

Well, I'm back from the grocery store. They had a few six packs of Brooklyn beers, and you guys said the Brooklyn Lager kicked ass but it was $10+ for just a six pack so I went with a 12 pack of Yuengling for less.

Spaten is good stuff, and if you can find it, Baltika #9 is pretty badass, 8% but doesn't taste like syrup. Becks is alright, Shiner (Texas area) is pretty good. Belhaven and Boddington's are a couple good dark ones, great with sausage/potatoes kind of meals or pizza even. Sapporo and Tsingtao are always worth a try as well. Of the popular Mexican beers only Dos Equis stands out as genuinely pretty good, Corona/Tecate are only survivable with a lime, which is fail imho. Tequila is why Mexico is awesome.

For some reason I really don't like Pale Ales or most light beers. Most US beers are borderline terrible outside of the microbrews / local brews.

Sam Adams Latitude 48 is their first IPA and tastes amazing.

I'd also look for Pale Ales by local brewers. Usually can't go wrong there.

Definitely try Sweetwater. I've only had their 420 on draft and it was great!

I agree that Yuengling is the standard for cheap beer.

Brooklyn Brewing? Yuck!
