as long as you eat healthy... if you eat a lot but its all healthier food, there really can't be a whole lot of harm, just as long as your not overdoing actual fat and sodium... if its carbs, it'll convert to fat but I believe thats better because its not necessarily 'bad' fat.
Being a little overweight is good if you need to kick into survival mode and don't have access to a lot of food... but since your body has a lot of energy already stored in that carb-fat storage, you can live longer than a thin-as-bones person on the same low-food intake.
