Belgium to legalise cannabis

North America will one day wake up to its own stupidity and legalize it as well. Canada is far more proactive than the US with this matter. Personally I still do prefer alcohol and wouldn't smoke up much even if I could do it in front of a cop on my balcony but I suppose I'd do a little reefer now and again if I could go down to the store and pick it up hassel free.

Actually, the tobacco companies would be smart to start pushing for legalization. They already have the resources to produce it, and with the 'war on tobacco' picking up steam they will need to change their business focus. The real industries keeping pot illegal are the pharmaceutical, paper & textile and petroleum indutries. Industrial pot poses a very serious threat to the status quo these cpmpanies have established.

Judging from that sentence structure, you sound like you might be on a little reefer. Periods are your friend.

I have lots of friends in Belgium.
In the North part, called Flanders, they speak Flemish.
In the South part, they speak French.

Actually I think commas would have been more in order there because the sentence wasn't really all that long and if I'd have put in a comma or two I feel that the sentence would have been grammatically sound and quite possibly did not need a period to split it into another one don't you think?

Dutch, French, & German (no googling, I had a friend from Belgium in HS).

Believe it or not, it's ten times easier to drive stoned than drunk. Driving under any drug is not exactly a smart thing to do, but if I had to choose I'd rather have people driving stoned than drunk.

95% of the population would be in jail. The remaining 5% would have to pay 150% of their income in taxes to pay for the jail cells. Those 5% would go crazy and kill themselves, leaving us with 200million people sitting in jail cells w/no food or water. They would all die and stink like crazy. French or Flemish depending where they live.

Edit- like Glen already said. I didn't bother to read all the responses. I will point out that while they do speak French, they do so with a belgian accent....so the French look down their noses at the Belgians.
