I believe they exaggerated by an order of magnitude so 100% really isn't very far off.

I had a belkin 11g router with dual antennas. I could sit 7 feet away from it and not get signal. Too bad I lost my receipt.

Belkin = Junk.

I did not have the $140.00 receipt but it was buy.com so i just download a copy of it.

the $40.00 reciept was from Office Depot which I still had as it was only like a year and a half ago.

you can try downloading from where ever you purchased it from.

if no receipt , no refund, but you can get 50% off a new Belkin product.

but you had to have signed up for it like 9 months ago, no way to get anything now unless you already signed up I think.

I dont know maybe i am wrong????

I had the Belkin 125-HSM 802.11g router (a somwhat more robust model then the straight 54g) & it actually worked very well until it was killed by a bad firmware update. Belkin replaced it with a brand-new Pre-N model no questions asked after a 10 minute phone-call to support & its been working flawlessly to this day.

Yeah I know ... the real lesson here is that I went into the wrong line of work!

WTH... Anyone else got their refund status change from refund requested (or what ever it was) back to waiting for claim form?

And mine says "waiting for claim form" as well despite the fact I sent it in on Feb 12th & it was delivered and signed for on Feb 18th ... good thing I sent it in via certified mail with delivery confirmation!

I sent a letter to Belkin (email) and to the Class Counsel (First address listed in above post and was sent snail mail) to try to find out what the hell is going on and why my status has changed with no messages stating why.

Got a reply from belkin. Here's what they said about the status change

"Good morning,

Your claim has been received and is currently being reviewed. I have reviewed your claim and it looks like the one invalid purchase date is moving your form into different categories as we move through our review process. You will be receiving a letter stating one is valid and one is invalid due to the purchase date."


Now I'm figuring they will allow us to resubmit again if we want to include another valid product if we have one . But my receipt shows the card as a Belkin FD8010 not as a F5D8010 plus it had a rebate of $30. I'm afraid if I use it they'll kick it out again due to the product number not matching whats is listed on the covered models.... Anyone else received a letter stating this?

I think the email might have gone to my junk folder and I usually delete them without looking, am I out of luck ?

It appears my status has changed to the following:

Claim validated, payment pending. Please allow at least twelve weeks for payment.

Nice to see they processed it, but I'm glad I'm not in a hurry!

I just got a letter in the mail (usps) basically stating that they have received my documentation but one is invalid due to the court ruling on the date change on valid product. If I have evidence that I purchased a Belkin product in non-conforming packaging after that date I can challenge it.

Dang I have another item I want to list but haven't heard or seen anything about submitting another form with it on it.Guess I'll email them and see what the response is.

If companies can be sued successfully for overexaggerating wireless performance and range, then I think any and all companies that make wireless equipment can be taken to the cleaners.
