I got my dozen today. It came in two boxes, each containing one carton of six retail boxed packages of one NIC each. The cartons show manufacturing inspection dates of "December, 2001".
What this means is that, after making the pricing error and accepting all of our orders at 81 cents each, they went out and bought brand new stock, at whatever price they usually pay, to fulfill our orders.
We love to bash Dell, mainly because of their poorly-working website and what seems to us to be their incredibly stupid business practices, but you have to admit that they stepped up to the plate on this one. *I* would not have done what they did... I would just have cancelled the orders.
