Referral Link == BAN

This guy posts several "hot deals" every day, and most of them have referral links in them.

What a jerk.

This router is the biggest piece of crap I have ever bought. Restarted all the time and was a flakey piece of shit.

Also !PLEASE! Put AR in the title so that we know that we are dealing with rebates.
Some of us do not like rebates.

To be fair, I've been using this router for a while (got it for $12 w/o rebates a while back) and haven't had any problems.

I had this one before I got my G router.

Never had a problem with it.

I'd still be using it, but I plugged in the wrong power adapter and fried it

Read Beefcake04's post again. It says that kamranziadar posts "several" hot deals every day and that "most of them" have referrals in them. Not sure if it's true, but if it is then I'd hardly call them honest mistakes because that'd be a lot of "honest" mistakes.

I disagree, I had one of these, it worked flawlessly, better than my G lynks router which keeps cutting off.
It is a little bulky true, but works great...

Nope; not an honest mistake. He posts a ton of referral deals, it seems, and often reposts the same ones within a week of each other.

I completely agree. I have installed 5 or 6 of these in client homes, no problems yet!

I just set up one of these free Belkins as an Access Point. At first it seemed flaky. I used the web browser admin utility. (not the cd to set up). Lots of things just didn't work. I set up the wep encryption key but it wouldn't generate the numbers. I tried to change dhcp. Nothing happened. CHanging the password took forever. Tried to check for firmware upgrade, just hung there thinking forever. I was getting discouraged. Then all of a sudden it kind of called home or something. Came up with a statement "no new firmware available" or something like that. Then everything worked perfectly. Encryption enabled, set it up as an access point which I plugged into a switch connected to a wired router. Wireless connection as good as my more expensive wap54g in 802.11b mode. Couldn't tell the difference. Don't know why the setup was tempermental but in the end, a delight for free. I believe you can pick up four or five of them per adress and still be eligible for the rebate. That way with only one shipping charge you get a few boxes to share. (check pcconnection to be sure) There also is a thread with the G model going for 9.99 or so at best buy after rebate. But if you don't need wds or doing bridging, this is a perfectly good as far as I can tell. It works.
