Grey Goose's appeal lies in it's advertising budget. They spend a fortune selling to 20 years olds via Maxim, Stuff and Gear magazines. That's all it takes to become the "it" brand, especially on ATOT. The most popular liquor in every category whether it's vodka, tequila or bourbon is always whoever spends the most in men's magazines. The vast majority of the people drooling over GG or Cabo Wabo or whatever brand is the flavor of the month are either too young to drink or mix the stuff with Kool-Aid.

I do like Grey Goose though, just prefer Belvedere. Aslo Chopin's pretty good.

Stolis is horrible, Smirnoff goes down a LOT easier and doesnt taste like wood.

In a new york times taste test, it beat 20 other vodkas, including GG and stoli.

I prefer Belvedere's Chopin Vodka (potato vodka) over Grey Goose (grain) but Goose over the regular Belvedere.

Personally I think it's all hype, I much prefer Stolichnaya for the everyday drink because it tastes great without the burn of Smirnoff (which most Russians I know prefer for this fact).

My roommate is Russian, every time his grandfather comes over I get him a fifth of blue lable smirnoff, he loves that sh!t
In return he brings 20-30 year old scotch over

meh, they're both poor vodkas and use grain neutral spirits. so in terms of quality they are pretty low.

No arguments here, i cant stand stolis though, GG isnt bad.
