When the same outrage wasn't found about Obama.
It's important to understand why there was no rage when 0bama said it. There was no outrage because the media didn't tell the left that they should be outraged. I've said it over and over here. The people that feel they are the smartest will fall for manipulation by the media without giving it a second thought.

This thread is full of the usual suspects that will fall for it time after time. Incapable of independent thought, they subscribe to groupthink doled out by the media. They run from this to that with their hair on fire responding to every manufactured slight. Marionettes animated by the strings pulled by the media they adore. Made up stories? No problem - they run. Stories with unnamed sources - they run. Stories that don't even begin to pass the smell test - they run. If the media tells them to run, they run. They'll light their hair on fire, and arson and assault are not a problem either. They'll rail on about first amendment rights while shouting down or even assaulting people that don't think like the media has taught them to think.

Leslie Jones has publicly said she wants to fight Ben Carson! In her world he's a 'fuckface'. Would she feel different knowing that the half black guy said the same thing numerous times before the all black guy? We probably will never know but we do know that the media has got her right where they want her and to me, she looks about as ignorant as one could get. She's got a lot of company right here too.

All that from the guy who regularly recites Fox news talking points as though they were Gospel.

Here's the one thing that the Breitbart-brainwashed crowd can't seem to figure out: context matters.
Your "thou liberal hypocrite!" equivalencies are invariably (and conveniently) taken out of context. Just last week, Carson compared abortion to slavery in defending his opposition to abortion even in cases of rape. Now let's pause and think about that for a moment. A woman gets raped and in return the government forces her to bear and raise, for at least the next 18 years of her life and at great personal expense, the product of that act of rape and... I'm sorry, who's the slave?
Like I said, context matters.

That's a lot of words to declare that you can't figure out what carson (ie parroting white nationalists) or obama (rather the opposite) was talking about.

Abortion is worse than slavery. Slaves were deprived of their liberty, not necessarily their lives. The victims of abortion are deprived of both.

And the government in this case doesn't force the mother to raise the child. It forces the mother not to kill the child. She's free to put the child up for adoption or drop him or her off at a hospital if the child remains unwanted.

And incidentally, how is Obama's quote taken out of context? Reading the transcript of the speech doesn't do much do undermine the interpretation that he made the same point Carson did.

That is real progress. You actually are capable of posting something besides Lügenpost.

So what is the point people are trying to make about what Ben Carson said? He called slave immigrants. Maybe that is or isn't the best term. What would be the best term? Was there some big false statement he made? Is it some big conspiracy to make slavery not sound so bad?

It's ironically in the best interest of the christian right that jesus isn't real.

It only makes sense that right wing white nationalism looks to whitewash history that makes them look bad.

You should research assertions like that before running your mouth, mate. Because scholarship on the subject decisively disagrees with you.

Okay I'm serious. Coming from a democrat, this is perhaps the most ironic post ever to be made in this forum.

I do wonder what a deity responsible for all the vengeance in the old testament might think about those sorts using his good name to elect some total degenerate.

It sure must be hard to figure why those same sorts reliably on the wrong side of history might want to revise it. Eg. civil war not really about slavery, very popular with the confederate crowd.

Reliably on the wrong side of history. Sort of like the democrats' historical and fervent support of slavery that they constantly explain away?

you're 100% correct the democratic party back then did support slavery and were behind jim crow laws, however, if you think that party is any representation of today's democratic party, you're either an idiot or intentionally obtuse.

Amazing how the outrage vanished when someone showed that obummer said the exact same thing Carson did, and not a peep from the PC crowd, the media or anyone else..... proving once again they are just a bunch of hypocrites pushing leftist agendas disguised as political correctness.

Also funny is how the usual cast of idiots came right into this thread to bash Carson, only to be shown to be buffoons when it turns out obummer did the same thing and of course they were not outraged at that point. You'd think at some point you guys would learn to ask questions and think about stuff before going into outrage mode.
