To certain extent two theories on that. (1) Given the political crisis, the Pakistani internet may be censored or blocked. (2) Given the amount of ridicule The Green Bean received for what amounted to his personal take on Pakistani public opinion, why should he throw more pearls of enlightenment to us swine on P&N?

When we have so many people at P&N who have never been to Pakistan, or even talked to someone from Pakistan, who will cheerfully and forcefully tell everyone how the Pakistani people should think or else while personally savaging the messenger for reporting what the larger nation thought.

And given that The Green Bean was not exactly enchanted with Bhutto as a political figure, now that she has been assassinated, and it moves a shocked Pakistan closer to the brink, maybe there is nothing really definitive to report as the public mood could go in all kinds of directions.

I don't know if anyone has asked this yet....but was Dick Cheney on a hunting trip in Pakistan when this happened?

Sorry I have been out of town with no internet access for a few weeks. Still not back home and won't be for another few weeks. I heard from back home Karachi was at a sand still; everything closed. Things are said to be returning to normalcy now.

Personally I feel BB deserved it. She should've understood she was putting herself and hundreds of others at risk after the failed assassination attempt earlier. Too bad 95% of the population were the victims of the riots that followed.

I also mention that the Western Media has only been writing about everything that happens here from their point of view. They portray us in a fashion that we are meant to serve western interests. Anything that goes against western ideology is a crime. With that kind of bias you will NEVER been able to gauge the true nature of the situation present here. Apparently everything that happens here has something to do with the so called war on terror. Everything that happens here is a threat to the western world. Everything that happens here if desired can be controlled by the west using brute force. That kind of attitude makes me sick and feel pity at the same time when I realize that most Americans only have illusions of righteousness which are controlled by mass media.
