[13:15:39] work: average encoding speed for job is 409.762878 fps

I use Handbrake quite a bit to encode my BRs to x264. The Android preset is a lot faster than the preset I generally use

SBe sure scales nicely with clocks, but I guess that's what having six cores and 12 threads can do for you!

is this benchmark single threaded, if not dont you have to calculate in core/thread count?

a10-6800k (mhz*cores/fps)? 36.6MHz/fps vs. 147.69MHz/fps

my c-50 111MHz/fps vs 222MHz/fps

Yes its a multi-threaded bench so core count should be taken into account, I was just trying to get an idea of which chips did the most work per MHz, the app was originally written for keeping single threaded scores (like cpumark99) .

Hmm, I'll give this a try when I get my hexacore installed. Sadly, it's a Gulftown, nothing very exotic.

Ye olde on nightly build.

5800K @ Stock (3.8 Ghz) on Linux Mint

[01:31:33] work: average encoding speed for job is 76,687973 fps

Looks like I'm having throttling problems with this crappy stock cooler. It starts fantastic and FPS halves after the fan revs up.

I use Handbrake quite a bit to encode my BRs to x264. The Android preset is a lot faster than the preset I generally use

now that should be illegal! 400 nice!

HandBrake svn5614 (Nightly Build) - 64bit Version
OS: Microsoft Windows NT 6.2.9200.0
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor
Ram: 16336 MB, Screen: 1920x1080
x264 [info]: using cpu capabilities: MMX2 SSE2Fast SSSE3 SSE4.2 AVX XOP FMA4 FMA3 SSEMisalign LZCNT BMI1
work: average encoding speed for job is 200.373764 fps
Running with the stock clocks which would mean 3.5/3.7/4.0 GHz at anytime. 3.7 GHz is the all core boost so put that down for me.

50% usage - 4 cores loaded with a power virus.
100% usage - handbrake
50% usage - I went AFK to eat a snack.
work: average encoding speed for job is 102.141388 fps
Seems to scale pretty well.

I've tried running this on my Atom 330 twice and it won't finish, eventually BSOD. I think I'm hitting a thermal trip.

I'm pretty surprised my laptop outperformed my desktop in this test while using less than half the power.
